Mercy stood still in the hearts of three youths: Glory be, the flame enflames three young men.

O Soul/Spirit of our God, blessed art Thou.

Blessed art thou, Lord, God of our fathers, glorious and praised be thy name for ever.

Thou art the Beginning, O Lord, from Whom hast created us all, and Thy works are true and righteous, and Thy ways and judgments true.

And truly Thou hast fashioned the judgments, O Lord, by which Thou didst bring upon us and upon Thy holy city Jerusalem the priest of our sanctuary: for verily by judgment and truth Thou didst bring upon us all our sins.

We have sinned and have acted unlawfully, departing from Thee, and we have grievously offended in all things.

And we have not kept thy commandments, neither observed them nor fulfilled them, as thou commandedst us, that good might come to us.

And all things, which Thou hast created for us, and all things, which Thou hast brought upon us, didst Thou make with a true judgment.

And Thou didst deliver us into the hands of wicked lawless enemies, and unto a king unjust and more crafty than all the earth.

And now there is not for us to open our mouth, nor study nor confession we have made, O Lord, and Thy servants who seek Thee.

Let not our soul be delivered unto the end in the name of Thine for naught, and let not the covenant of Thine be broken.

And I, not leaving Thee without, for Abraham's sake beloved by Thee, and for Isaac Thy servant, and Jesus Thy Son:

And Thou hast said: To multiply them, as the stars of heaven, and as the sand upon the shore of the sea.

O Master, because we have sinned more than all languages, and today we have shown compunction of heart over the whole earth for our sins.

There is no prince, prophet, or leader in time: neither burnt offerings, nor sacrifices, nor oblations, nor censers; nor any place to eat before Thee and find mercy.

But with a broken spirit and a humble soul let us receive.

As in all our sacrifices of the old and the new, and as in the thick clouds of the lamb: may our sacrifice today before Thee be accepted, and may it be accomplished according to Thy will, for there is no student hoping upon Thee.

And now we follow all with our whole heart, and we fear Thee and seek Thy face.

Let not Thy glory be dishonored by us, but work in us according to Thy meekness and the abundance of Thy mercy.

And may all who rule by thy servants be shamed, and may they be put to confusion from every power, and the strength of theirs be crushed.

And let them understand, for Thou art the Lord God alone, and glorious throughout all the world.

And the slughtiye of the Lord, the servants of Thy kingdom, did not cease to burn with fire and with naphtha, and with resin, and with brimstone.

And let the flame be kindled over the abyss on the altar forty-nine.

And abide, and burn, where ye shall find the astrologers.

And the Angel also came down into the cave with those that were with him in the region thereof.

And let the flame of the fiery coals shake from the furnace.

And Thou hast created the midst of the waters, because the Spirit moving upon them: and they have not touched one another with fire, nor have they been grieved, beneath them being.

Then with one accord we went up on high, and blessed and glorified God in the cave, saying:

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down and wept, remembering Thee, O Youth.

Blessed art thou, O Lord, God of our fathers, most venerable and exalted for ever.

And most glorious and fearful and to be praised beyond ages, O Holy One.

Blessed art thou, O Seeing the Void, Sitting upon the Cherubim, Praised and Lifted Up for Ages.

Blessed art thou, O Theotokos, in the throne of glory, praising thee, Venerable and exalted for ever.

Blessed art thou on the heights heavenlier, O mighty and exalted for ever.

Glory, and now:
