Mercy stood still in three youths: Glory flames enflame three young men.

O Soul/Spirit of our God, blessed art Thou.

Blessed art thou, Lord, our God, be praised and glorified thee for ever.

Thou art the Beginning, O Lord, from Whom hast created us all, and Thy works are true and righteous, and Thy ways and judgments true.

And Thou hast truly brought forth judgment, O Lord, by which Thou didst bring upon us and upon the holy city of our priests: for verily and with judgment Thou didst bring upon us all our sins.

We have sinned and have acted unlawfully by departing from Thee, and we have grievously sinned in all things.

And we have not kept thy commandments, neither observed them nor fulfilled them, as thou commandedst us, that good might come to us.

And all things, wherewith Thou hast created us, and all things, whatsoever Thou hast brought upon us, by a true judgment hast Thou wrought.

And Thou didst deliver us into the hands of wicked lawless enemies, and unto a king unjust and more crafty than all the earth.

And now there is not for us to open our mouth, nor study nor confession we have made, O Lord, and Thy servants and them that seek Thee.

Let not our souls be delivered unto the will of sin to the end in the name of Thy glory, nor violate the covenant of Thine.

And I, not leaving Thee without, for Abraham's sake beloved by Thee, and for Isaac, Thy servant, and Jesus Christ Thy Son:

And Thou hast spoken, that Thou wouldest multiply them, as the stars of heaven, and as the sand to the borders of the sea.

Alas, Master, we have sinned more than all languages, and we are sinful in all the earth today for our sins.

There is no prince, prophet, or commander in the time thereof: neither burnt offering, nor sacrifice, nor oblation, nor incense, nor place where anything is to be eaten before Thee, and we shall find mercy.

But with a broken spirit and a humble soul let us receive.

As in all our burnt offerings and young bulls, and as the lamb in the dark: may our sacrifice today before Thee be accepted, and may it be accomplished according to Thy will, for there is no delay for those who hope in Thee.

And now we follow all with our whole heart, and we fear Thee and seek Thy face.

Let not Thy glory be dishonored by us, but work in us according to Thy meekness and the abundance of Thy mercy.

Transform us by thy wonders, and grant unto His name glory, Lord.

And may all who rule by thy servants be confounded, and may they be ashamed from every power, and the strength of theirs be crushed.

And let them understand, for Thou art the Lord God alone, and glorious throughout all the world.

And the servants of the King did not cease to pour out with fire, burning pitch and tar, and resin, and bitumen.

And let the flame be kindled over the abyss on the altar four hundred and ninety.

And abide, and burn, where ye shall find the astrologers.

And the Angel also came down into the cave with those who were with him at the manger.

And let there shake forth a fiery flame from the rock,

And Thou hast created the midst of the waters, because the Spirit moveth upon them: and they touch not one another with fire, nor grieve, beneath them.

Then with one accord we went up on high, and blessed and glorified God in the cave, saying:

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down and wept, remembering Thee, O Youth.

Blessed art thou, Lord, our God, Jesus Christ, most venerable and exalted for ever.

Blessed be the glory of Thee, O Holy One, reverenced and lifted up for ever.

Blessed art thou in the house of thy glory, O Venerable, praised and exalted for ever.

Blessed art thou, O Seeing the Void, Sitting upon the Cherubim, Praised and Lifted Up for Ages.

Blessed art thou, O Theotokos, in the throne of glory thy worship is celebrated, Venerable and exalted for ever.

Blessed art thou on the firmament more heavenly, O most venerable and exalted in the ages.

Glory, and now:
