Mercy stood still in the hearts of three youths: Glory be, the flame burneth in three young men.

O Soul/Spirit of our God, blessed art Thou.

Blessed art thou, Lord, our God, glorious and praised be thy name for ever.

Thou art the Beginning, O Lord, who hast created us all,
and Thy works are true and righteous,
and Thy way is right,
and Thy judgments are true.

And Thou hast truly brought forth the judgment, O Lord, which Thou didst bring upon us and upon our holy priests: for verily and with justice hast Thou brought upon us all our sins.

We have sinned and have acted unlawfully by departing from Thee, and we have grievously sinned in all things.

And we have not kept thy commandments, nor observed them, nor fulfilled them, as thou commandedst us, that good might come to us.

And all things, wherewith Thou hast created us, and all things, whatsoever Thou hast brought upon us, by a true judgment hast Thou wrought.

And Thou didst deliver us into the hands of wicked lawless enemies, and unto a king unjust and more crafty than all the earth.

And now there is not for us to open our mouth, nor study nor affliction have we borne as thy servants and them that seek thee.

Let not our souls be delivered unto the will to destroy us for the sake of thy name, nor violate the covenant of thy will.

And I have not left thee without comfort, O Soul, for Abraham's sake, whom Thou didst love, and for Isaac, Thy servant, and Jesus Christ, Thy Holy One:

And Thou hast spoken, that Thou wouldest multiply them, as the stars of heaven, and as the sand to the borders of the sea.

Alas, Master, we have sinned more than all languages, and we have fallen by sin upon the whole earth today.

And there is no prince, nor prophet, nor commander:
neither burnt offering, neither sacrifice, neither oblation, neither censer,
nor any place wherein to eat before Thee and find mercy.

But with a broken spirit and a humble soul let us receive.

As in all our burnt offerings and young bulls, and as the lamb in the dark: may our sacrifice today before Thee be accepted, and may it be accomplished according to Thy will, for there is no delay for those who hope in Thee.

And now we follow with all our hearts, and we fear Thee and seek Thy face.

Let not Thy glory be dishonored by us, but work in us according to Thy meekness and the abundance of Thy mercy.

Transform us by Thy wonders, and grant unto His name glory, Lord.

And may all who rule by thy servants be shamed, and may they be put to confusion from every power, and the strength of theirs be crushed.

And let them understand, for Thou art the Lord God alone, and glorious throughout all the world.

And the servants of the King did not cease to pour out their prayers, burning incense and myrrh, and spices, and perfumes.

And let the flame spread over the abyss upon the milk of forty-nine virgins.

And abide, and burn, where ye shall find the astrologers.

And the Angel also came down into the cave with those that were with him in the region thereof.

And let there shake from the flame of the fiery furnace out of the mountain,

And Thou hast created the middle space, because the Spirit, murmuring like a mist: neither hath it touched them with one flame, nor hath it grieved them, beneath which they stand.

Then with one accord we went up into the mountain, and blessed and glorified God in the cave, saying:

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down and wept,
thinking upon Zion.

Blessed art thou, Lord, God of our fathers, most venerable and exalted for ever.

And most glorious and fearful and to be praised beyond telling throughout the ages.

Blessed art thou, O Seeing the Void, Sitting upon the Cherubim, Praised and Lifted Up for Ages.

Blessed art thou, O Lord, upon the throne of glory, thy creation, ever to be praised and exalted for ages upon ages.

Blessed art thou on the heights heavenlier, O venerable and exalted for ever.

Glory, and now:
