Prokeimenon (Psalm 21), tone 4: I have divided my garments for myself, / and for my clothing the lot has been cast.
Verse: O God, my God, take notice of me, have you forsaken me?
Prokeimenon (Psalm 21), tone 4: They divided My clothing among themselves, they cast lots for My clothing.

Exodus reading (Exodus 33:11–23).
The Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as if someone were speaking to his friend, and he was sent away to the army: the servant Joshua the son of Nun, the young man, did not come out of the tabernacle. And Moses spoke to the Lord: Behold, you said to me, lead out these people, but you have not shown me whom you will follow with me. You told me: I know you above all others, and grace is with Me. If I have found grace before You, let me show You Himself, so that I can see You with understanding, so that I will find grace before You: and let me know that Your people have a great tongue. And the verb (to him, the Lord): I myself will go before you, and I will give you rest. And Moses spoke to Him: Unless You Yourself go with us, Thou shalt not bring me out from here. And how will it truly be known that I have found grace from You, and I and Your people, then I go with You? And I will be glorified, and I and Your people, above all the tongue, are the creatures of the earth. The Lord spoke to Moses: I will do this word to you that you have spoken: for you have found grace before Me, and I know you above all. And Moses said: Show me Your glory.
And the Lord said to Moses: I will go before you with My glory, and I will call upon My name, Lord, before you; I'm generous. And he said: Thou shalt not see My face, lest man see My face and live. And the Lord said: This place is with Me, and you will stand on the stone. When My glory has passed away, I will put you in a cleft of the stone, and I will cover you with My hand until I pass by. And I will take My hand away, and then you will see Me from behind. But My face will not appear to you.
Reading Exodus [33:11–23]
The Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as someone would speak to his friend. And he withdrew into the camp, but his assistant, the young man Jesus, the son of Navi, did not leave the tabernacle. And Moses said to the Lord: “Behold, You say to me: “Take this people away,” but You have not told me whom You will send with me. You told me: “In everything I have recognized you, and you have grace with Me.” If I have found grace before Your face, show me Yourself in an accessible way, so that I may see You; so that I may be like one who has found grace before Your face and know that these people are Your people.” And the Lord says to him: “I myself will go ahead of you and give you rest.” And Moses said to Him: “If You Yourself do not go with us, do not take me away from here. And how will it be known with certainty that I and your people have found favor in Your sight? Only if you come with us! And I and Your people will be glorious among all the families that are on the earth.” The Lord said to Moses: “And this word that you have spoken I will fulfill for you, for you have found grace in My presence, and in everything I have recognized you.”
And Moses says: “Show me Your glory!” And the Lord said: “I will pass by before you with My glory, and I will call by My name “Lord” before you, and I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” And He said: “You will not be able to see My face, for it is impossible for a man to see My face and live.” And the Lord said: “This is my place: stand on the rock; when My glory passes by, I will take you to a cave in the rock and protect you with My hand until I pass by. And I will take away My hand, and then you will see what is behind Me, but My face will not be visible to you.”
Prokeimenon (Psalm 34), tone 4: Judge, O Lord, those who offend me,/ overcome those who fight me.
Verse: Take the weapon and the shield, and arise to my help.
Prokeimenon (Psalm 34), tone 4: Judge, O Lord, those who commit lawlessness with Me, enter into battle with those who fight with Me!
Verse: Take your weapon and shield, and rise to help Me!
Job reading (Job.42:12–20).
The Lord bless the last Job, even more than the first: but he blessed his cattle, fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand oxen, a thousand oxen, a thousand herd donkeys. And he was born seven sons and three daughters. And he called the first Day: the second Cassius: the third Amalthean Horn. And the daughters of Job were not found in likeness in the heavenly places: but the father gave them an inheritance among their brethren. After the plague, Job lived a hundred and seventy years: in all the years he lived two hundred and fourty eighty. And Job saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even to the fourth generation. And Job died, old and full of days. It is written again; if it rises, the Lord will rise with it. This is interpreted from the book of Syria. In the land of the living Ausitides on the borders of Idumea and Arabia: first his name was Jobab. Let us take an Arab wife and give birth to a son, whose name is Ennon. But that father was Zareth, the son of Esau, the mother of Bozarrah: as if he were the fifth from Abraham.
Reading Job [42:12–17]
The Lord blessed Job's last days more than his former days, and he had livestock: fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand pairs of oxen, and a herd of a thousand donkeys. And seven sons and three daughters were born to him. And he named the first Day, the second Cassius, and the third the Horn of Amaltheus. And it was impossible to find in the heavenly world the beauty of Job’s daughters. And Job gave his daughters an inheritance among their brothers. And Job lived after his illness for one hundred and seventy years, but in all he lived two hundred and forty-eight years. And Job saw his sons and his sons' sons, even to the fourth generation. And Job died an old man, in the fullness of days. It is written that he will rise again with those with whom the Lord will restore him. This is how it is explained in the Syriac book. He lived in the land of Ausitidia, on the borders of Idumea and Arabia; before his name was Jobav. He took an Arabian wife and fathered a son named Ennon. His father was Zareth, the son of the sons of Esau, and his mother was Bosrah, so that he was in the fifth generation from Abraham.
