Troparion of prophecy, tone 5:

Thou who created our hearts alone, remember that we are the dust: do not judge us in the depths of the earth, O sinless one.

Glory, and now: and we repeat the same.

Troparion of prophecy, tone 5: You who have blinded all our hearts, remember that we are dust, and do not condemn us to remain in the underworld, Impeccable One!

Glory, even now: and we repeat the same troparion.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 21), tone 6: You who fear the Lord, / praise Him.

Verse: O God, my God, consider me, you have forsaken me in all things.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 21), tone 6: Ye who fear the Lord, praise Him!

Verse: O God, My God, hear Me! Why did you leave Me?

Reading the prophecies of Isaiah. [Isa.4:1-6, 5:1-7.]

This is what the Lord says. On that day God will rise in council with glory on earth to exalt and glorify the remnant of Israel. And there will be a remnant in Zion, and a remnant in Jerusalem; all those who were written for life in Jerusalem will be called holy. For the Lord will wash away the filthiness of the sons and daughters of Zion, and the blood of Jerusalem will cleanse them from among them through the spirit of judgment and the spirit of heat. And the Lord will come, and all the place of Mount Zion will be, and all that is around it will be overshadowed by clouds in the days, and like smoke and light of fire burning in the night, will be covered with all glory: And it will be a canopy from the heat, and a cover and a hiding place from cruelty and rain. Today I will sing to my beloved a song of my beloved to my grapes: grapes became to my beloved in a rose, in the place of a fat one. And he made fences, and trenches, and planted a chosen vine, and made a pillar in the midst of it, and a gravestone in it: and he waited, and let him make grapes, and make thorns, and Now you who live in Jerusalem, and the man of Judah, judge between Me and My grapes.

What more will I do to my grapes, and will not do to it? I waited before him, let him create grapes, and create thorns. Now I will tell you that I will make my vineyard: I will take away its fence, and it will be spoiled, and I will destroy its wall, and it will be trampled under foot. And I will leave My grapes, and whoever is not pruned will dig in below, and thorns will come up on it, like on an ice loaf: and I will command a cloud, lest rain rain on it. For the vine of the Lord of hosts, the house of Israel is, and the man of Judah is a new beloved garden.

Reading the prophecy of Isaiah [4:2–6; 5:1–7a]

Thus says the Lord: On that day God, according to His will, will shine forth with glory on the earth to exalt and glorify the remnant of Israel. And there will be a remnant in Zion and a remnant in Jerusalem: all those who are registered to live in Jerusalem will be called saints, because the Lord will wash away the filthiness of the sons and daughters of Zion and the blood of Jerusalem will cleanse them from among them with the spirit of judgment and the spirit of fire. And the Lord will come, and it will be like this: all Mount Zion and everything around will be enveloped in a cloud during the day, and at night - like smoke and the light of a burning fire, and all the glory will protect them. And during the day it will be a shadow from the heat, a cover and refuge from bad weather and rain. Now I will sing to the Beloved the song of My Beloved about My vineyard. Beloved had a vineyard on the top, in a fertile place. And I surrounded it with a fence, and fenced it in, and planted choice vines; and he built a tower in the midst of it, and dug a pit in it to gather fruit, and expected him to bring forth grapes, but he brought forth thorns. And now, men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, judge between Me and My vineyard. What else should I do for my vineyard that I have not done for it?

For I waited for him to bring grapes, but he brought thorns. Now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will remove the fence thereof, and it will be plundered; I will break down its wall, and it will be trampled. And I will leave My vineyard, and they will neither prune it nor dig it, but thorns will grow in it, as on barren ground, and I will command the clouds not to rain on it. For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah a new favorite garden.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 22), tone 6: Thy rod and Thy club/ are the comforter of me.

Verse: The Lord feeds me and deprives me of nothing.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 22), tone 6: Your rod and Your staff - they encouraged me.

Verse: The Lord surrounds me with care: I will not need anything.
