O Most Pure Lady, Lady Theotokos! We resort to You, Pure One: For You are the insurmountable Wall, intercession and protection for all who resort to You with faith and hope. We pray to Thee, Most Blessed One: hear the prayer of Thy unworthy servants and stand for the departed servants of Thy name. You constantly intercede for those who Orthodoxy revere Thee and resort to Thy protection: however, Thy intercession, Lady, is especially beneficial to us after our death. In the same way, we pray to Thee, O Most Holy Theotokos, Lady of the world, the Hope of the unreliable: be today the Intercessor to those born of Thee for Thy departed servants, and beg Thy Son, our God, to give them forgiveness and remission of sins: much more can a mother’s prayer do for the mercy of the Master. The Lord accepts every word of petition from You: accept therefore our prayers and supplications for the souls of Your departed servants.

Help them, O Lady, with Thy motherhood to the Lord, with the boldness to achieve a quiet refuge in Heavenly Jerusalem: help them, O zealous Intercessor, to appear shamelessly at the terrible second coming of Thy Son, where each of them will either be glorified or ashamed by their deeds: help them, O Blessed One, before the face of Him who sits on the throne of glory be justified, so that they will not be ashamed before the angels and all the saints; below, let the demons be rejoiced. O All-Singing Mother, Lady Theotokos! We pray to Thee, intercede, save, preserve and take away from future torment Thy departed servants named, may they not perish forever, but may they be saved by Thy prayers and pass from death to the belly: send them, O Blessed One, to reach the longed-for fatherland and see the blessings of heaven. For You are the only Blessed One among women, the multi-powerful Intercessor, Hope, Cover and Refuge of all who flow to You, You are the bridge leading those who exist from earth to heaven and the opening of the heavenly doors of Your people forever and ever.
