Lord Jesus Christ our God, Thy peace given by man and the gift of the Most Holy Spirit, still in life and with us, forever grant as an inalienable inheritance to the faithful: this grace was most manifested by Thy disciple and apostle today, and having established these tongues with fiery lips, in the image of the whole human race the knowledge of God with His tongue received into the hearing of the ear, enlightened by the light of the Spirit, and We have changed the charms of darkness, and the sensual and fiery tongue of the dispensation and supernatural action of faith in You, learned, and to bless You with the Father and the Holy Spirit in the One Divinity and the power and authority we have been enlightened! Therefore, You, Father’s radiance, His unchanging and immovable outline of beings and natures, the source of wisdom and grace, open my sinner’s mouth too, and teach me how it is worthy and for their needs to pray: You know many of my sins, many, but Your compassion will overcome these immeasurable ones: for fear I stand before You, into the abyss of Your mercy I have plunged the despair of my soul.
Feed my belly, in a word, control all creation with the power of ineffable wisdom, a quiet refuge for the stormy, and tell me the way, I will go further. Grant the spirit of Thy wisdom to my thoughts, grant the spirit of reason to my madness: with the spirit of Thy fear my autumn deeds, and renew the right spirit in my womb, and establish the knowledge of my thoughts with the spirit of the master: so that I may be instructed by Thy Good Spirit every day for useful things, I may be deemed worthy to do Thy commandments and to remember Thy glorious things ever. the coming and tormenting of what we have done. And let me not be despised by the corruptibles to be seduced by the reds of this world, but desire to strengthen the treasures of future perceptions. Thou hast declared, O Master, that even if anyone asks for Thy name, he freely receives from Thy Ever-Existing God and Father. In the same way, I, a sinner, at the coming of Your holy Spirit, I pray for Your goodness: if you have asked, reward me for salvation. To her, Lord, rich in every good deed, to the Giver and Giver of the Good, for You are the One who gives abundantly what we ask!
You are compassionate and merciful, having been a sinless companion of our flesh, and bowing your knees to those who bow their knees to You, the purification of our sins. Grant therefore, O Lord, to Thy people Thy bounty: hear us from Thy holy heaven: sanctify us with the power of Thy saving right hand: cover us with the shelter of Thy wing: let us not despise the work of Thy hand. We sin against You alone, but we also serve You alone: we cannot bow down to an alien god, nor can we stretch our hands lower, O Master, to another God. Forgive us our sins, and accept our kneeling prayers, extend a helping hand to all of us, accept the prayer of all, like a pleasant incense acceptable before Your most good Kingdom.
This is also added:
Lord, Lord, deliver us from every arrow that flies in the days, deliver us from every thing that passes in darkness. Accept the evening sacrifice, the offering of our hands: grant us the privilege to pass through the night without blemish, untested from the evil ones: and deliver us from all confusion and fear that comes to us from the devil. Grant tenderness to our souls and care for our thoughts during Thy terrible and righteous trial trial. Nail our flesh with Thy fear, and mortify our souls that exist on earth, so that in sleepy silence we may be enlightened by the sight of Thy destinies. Take away from us every inappropriate dream and harmful lust: raise us up during prayer to be established in the faith and to excel in Your commandments.
At the end of the litany the exclamation:
By the beauty and goodness of Your only begotten Son, with whom You are blessed, with Your Most Holy and Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
