An earthly angel and a heavenly man appeared to you, Holy Father Silvana, when you desired to serve the Lord in holiness and righteousness. For this reason, imitating the great ancient fathers, you lived like the angels in the monastery of Russia of the holy great martyr Panteleimon and there, illuminated by the radiance of the Holy Spirit, the mind of Christ You have acquired and you have become the secret place of God’s grace, and you have shown an image of a godly life. Now standing before the throne of the Holy Trinity, together with the faces of the holy fathers of Athos, pray for us, who reverently honor you and call you sice:
Rejoice, born of the Orthodox Russian land:
Rejoice, blessed children of pious parents.
Rejoice, you who love God with all your heart and with all your soul:
Rejoice, holy faith, like valuable beads acquired.
Rejoice, having completely subdued your heart to the will of God:
Rejoice, earthly fatherland, forsaking your home, father and mother, for Christ’s sake.
Rejoice, you who came to the holy Mount Athos without any restrictions:
Rejoice, you have moved into the Russian monastery on this mountain.
Rejoice, the image of angelic beauty revealed in humility and obedience:
Rejoice, having ascended through unceasing prayer to the heights of dispassion.
Rejoice, overshadowed by the favor and love of God to the Mother:
Rejoice, now glorified in heaven and on earth.
