Who on earth for the sake of Christ, for the sake of will, was converted into violence, / and hated the beauty of this world, / and carnal games withered with fasting and thirst, / and laying on the earth, / from winter cold and frost, / and from the heat of the sun and rain / and other hardships, I never retreated under the roof, / and having no clothing on my body, / I cover with God’s help, / and I cleansed my soul You are like gold in a furnace with your virtues, / Procopius the wise, / with faith, honoring your memory / and diligently flowing to your relics, / glorifying your holy Dormition,/ I pray to Christ God, O noble soul,/ may the Lord deliver us from the barbarian invasion and civil strife/ and grant peace to the world// and great mercy to our souls.
