It behooves one to know, since from this day of the great week of Pascha, even until Thursday, at hours and vespers thus they sing.

Risen is the Virgin Christ, let us bow down to Thy holy breast and worship Thee, O Only Begotten, guiltless One. We honor Thee, O Christ, and sing Thy Resurrection: for Thou art God our King, and if not known by many, we call upon Thy name. Come, all ye faithful, let us bow down to the holy Virgin's Resurrection: for behold, joy has come to the whole world through Her grace. At dawn on the morrow of Mary, having found the stone rolled from the tomb, they heard an angel say: In the light of the present, seek not a man among the dead; behold the graveclothes, go forth, and preach peace, for He is risen, the dead one has become alive, for He is the Son of God, saving the race of mankind. When Thou, O Lord, wast on the earth, strange and foreign to us,
Thou didst draw near with Thy grace;
And many miracles didst Thou work by Thy power.
For Thou, O Christ, hast come from heaven,
To save sinners, being in the flesh.
Therefore, we pray Thee, O Lord:
Grant unto us Thy salvation,
That we may cry to Thee:
Save us and have mercy upon us, for Thou art our God.

If thou didst descend into the grave, O Immortal, Thou didst destroy the power of hell with Thy might, and didst raise Thyself as Victor, O Saviour, proclaiming to the myrrh-bearing women: Rejoice! And by Thy Apostles Thou gavest peace, to them that fell giving resurrection. [Eidineshi.]

In the tomb bodily, in hell with the soul of God, in paradise with the robber, and on the cross thou wast, O Saviour, with Thy Father and Thy Spirit, fulfilling that which was not written.

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.

O Life-giving One, O most beautiful in truth, who revealed to us the glory of every royal throne, Theotokos, thy tomb, fount of our Resurrection, do thou show mercy unto us.

Most glorious Cherubim, and most renowned Seraphim, we magnify thy unflappable words of God's glory, O Theotokos, that gave birth thereto, as being thine in very truth.
