It behooves one to know, since from this Wednesday of the great week of Pascha, even until Thursday evening, one thus sings these hours.
In His Name, and in Thy, and in the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, in thy mercy forgive us, Thee and Thy holy Mother and the Comforter, O our Venerable Fathers and all Thy creatures. Amen.
Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, by death He hath trampled death, and to the living He hath given life in the tombs. [Three times.]
Gladsye jas7:
Thy mercy, O Lord, is in every place;
And reacheth to the heavens.
Risen is the Virgin Christ, let us bow down to Thy holy breast and worship Thee, O One of a Holy Trinity. We beseech Thee, O Thou Christ, our God, that as by Thy death Thou didst destroy death, so also in Thee we may be raised to life immortality. Come, all ye faithful, let us bow down to the holy Virgin who was raised from the dead: for behold, joy cometh into the world through Her resurrection. Ever blessing Thee, O Lord, we sing Thy Resurrection: for Thou hast suffered death, and by Thy death didst destroy death. [Three times.]
Blessed be the Name of the Lord,
day by day.
At dawn on the morrow of Mary, having found a stone rolled from the tomb, they heard an angel say: In the light of the present, seek not among the dead what you are looking for; behold the graveclothes, go forth, and preach peace, for He has risen, the Dead One, for He is the Son of God, saving the race of man. [Alone.]
When thou didst descend into the waters,
O Christ God,
and didst tread upon him that had power over all,
then didst thou destroy death by thy Cross,
O Lover of Souls.
If thou didst descend into the lower parts, O Immortal, Thou hast destroyed the power of hell by Thy strength, and didst raise Thyself as Victor, O Christ, telling the myrrh-bearing women: Rejoice! And with Thy Apostles Thou gavest peace, descending to those who had fallen. [Eidineshi.]
In the grave by bodily death, in hell with the soul of God, in paradise with the robber, and on the throne He was, Thee glorify, with Thy Father and Holy Spirit, fulfilling the unrecorded will.
Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.
O Sustainer of life, O most beautiful in color, truly and indeed the image of every royal form showed itself brightest in thee, O Grave, fount of our Resurrection, Jesus Christ.
And now and for ever. Amen.
Exalted and blessed be the heavenly luminous moon, rejoicing. By thee, O Theotokos, joy hath been given, Master, to them that call upon thee: Blessed art thou among women, immaculate Lady.
Therefore, Lord, have mercy. [Thee]
Glory to Thee, and to Thy Father, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Most glorious Cherubim, and most renowned Seraphim, we magnify thy unflappable words of God's glory, O Theotokos, that gave birth thereto, being ever present in thee.
With prayers let the Venerable Father of ours, Jesus Christ our God, beseech Thee, O Theotokos, have mercy upon us. Amen.
And again we say: Jesus Christ is risen today, trampling down death by death, and on those in the tombs bestowing life. [Three times.]
Glory to Thee, and to Thy Father, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Lord, have mercy. [Three times.]
O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, hear our prayer, the supplication of Thy handmaids and of all Thy saints, and have mercy upon us. Amen.
