It behoveth to know, since from this Wednesday of the great week of Pascha, even until Thursday, even at hours and vespers thus they sing.
In His Name, and in Thy, and in the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, in thy mercy forgive us, for the sake of thine holy and divine Incarnation, and of thy Mother Theotokos, and of all thy saints. Amen.
Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, by death He hath death conquered, and hath given life to those that were in the tombs. [Three times.]
Gladsye jas7:
Thy mercy, O Lord, is in every place;
and reacheth to the heavens.
Risen is the Virgin Christ, let us bow down to Thy holy breast and worship Thee, O One of a Holy Trinity. We honor Thee, O Thou Resurrection of Thy Virgin, and we sing Thy praise: for Thou art God our Savior, and though we know Thee not fully, by Thy Name we call upon Thee. Come, all ye faithful, let us bow down to the holy breast of the Resurrection: for behold, joy cometh to all the world through the Comforter. Ever blessing Thee, O Lord, we sing Thy Resurrection: for having endured the crucifixion, Thou hast destroyed death by death. [Three times.]
Through this, let us worship with a loud voice, the glory of God:
At dawn on the morrow of Mary, having found a stone rolled from the tomb, they heard an angel say: In the light of the present, seek not among the dead what you are looking for; behold the linen cloths, go forth and preach peace, for He has risen, the dead one, for He is the Son of God, saving the race of man. [Alone.]
When thou didst descend into the waters,
O Christ, and didst tread upon the fish of the sea;
thou didst transform the old Adam in us by thy cross,
that we might be raised up with thee to life eternal.
Thou didst open the gates of heaven,
and didst receive the souls of them that had been faithful unto thee.
Wherefore, O Lord, save us and have mercy upon us,
for thou art our God.
If thou didst descend into the grave, O Immortal, Thou didst destroy the power of hell with Thy might, and didst raise Thyself as Victor, O Saviour, proclaiming to the myrrh-bearing women: Rejoice! And by Thy Apostles Thou gavest peace, to them that fall giving resurrection. [Eidinišči.]
In the grave by bodily death, in Hades with the soul of God, in Paradise with the robber, and on the throne Thou wast seated, O Saviour, with Thy Father and Spirit, fulfilling all things by Thy ineffable will.
Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.
O Life-giving One, O most beautiful in truth, Thou who revealedest the glory of every royal throne, Theotokos, Thy grave is our fount of resurrection.
And now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
O high and glorified Theotokos, rejoice. By thee hath joy been given, O Lady, to them that cry: Blessed art thou among women, immaculate Lady.
Therefore, Lord, have mercy. [Thou]
Glory to Thee, and to Thy Father, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Most glorious Cherubim, and most renowned Seraphim, we magnify thy unflappable words of God's glory, O Theotokos, that gave birth thereto, being in very truth thou our Venerable Lady.
With prayers let the Venerable Theotokos be invoked by us, O Virgin Jesus Christ, and may she have mercy on us. Amen.
And again we say: Jesus Christ is risen today, trampling down death by death, and on those in the tombs bestowing life. [Three times.]
Glory to Thee, and to Thy Father, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Lord, have mercy. [Three times.]
O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, hear our prayer for Thy merciful intercession, O Venerable and Theotokos-bearers, and all holy ones, have mercy on us.
Amen.
