At dawn on the morrow of Mary, having found a stone rolled from the tomb, they heard an angel say: In the light of the present, seek not among the dead what you are looking for; behold the graveclothes, go forth and preach peace, for He has risen, the Dead One, for He is the Son of God, saving the race of man. When thou wast baptized in the Jordan,
O Lord, thy body was plunged into the waters,
but thou didst cleave the earth asunder by thy power.
Thou didst transform the lower creation,
and didst make it like unto the upper.
For with thine advent, O Lover of Mankind,
all things were made new and holy.
Therefore, we who dwell on earth
do beseech thee, our God:
Grant us to partake of thy divine grace,
that by thy mighty hand we may be saved.

If thou didst descend into the lower parts, O Immortal, Thou hast destroyed the power of hell by Thy strength, and didst raise Thyself as Victor, O Christ, announcer to the myrrh-bearing women: Rejoice! And with Thy Apostles Thou gavest peace, giving resurrection to them that fell. [Eidineshi.]

In the grave by bodily death, in hell with the soul of God, in paradise with the robber, and on the cross thou wast hung, O Saviour, with thy Father and Spirit, fulfilling that which was not written.

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.
Ꙗ҆́кѡ живоно́сецъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ раѧ̀ краснѣ́йшїй, вои́стиннꙋ и҆ черто́га всѧ́кагѡ ца́рскагѡ показа́сѧ свѣтлѣ́йшїй, хрⷭ҇тѐ, гро́бъ тво́й, и҆сто́чникъ на́шегѡ воскрⷭ҇нїѧ.
O Life-giving One, O most beautiful in truth, who revealed the glory of every royal image with a clearer light, Theotokos, thy grave is our fount of resurrection.
