I thank You, Lord my God, for You have not rejected me as a sinner, but have made me worthy to be a partaker of Your Holy Things. I thank You, for You have vouchsafed me, who is unworthy, to partake of Your most pure and heavenly Gifts. But the Lord, the Lover of Mankind, died and rose again for our sake, and gave us this terrible and life-giving Sacrament, for the benefit and sanctification of our souls and bodies; grant that this may be for me too, for the healing of soul and body, for the driving away of everything that is contrary, for the enlightenment of the eyes of my heart, for the peace of my spiritual strength, for unashamed faith, for unfeigned love, for the fulfillment of wisdom, for the observance of Thy commandments, for the application of Thy Divine grace, and the appropriation of Thy Kingdom: let us preserve them in Thy holiness, I always accept Your grace, and I live not for myself, but for You, our Lord and Benefactor; and thus having come from this life with the hope of the eternal life, I will achieve everlasting peace, where those who celebrate the unceasing voice, and the endless sweetness of those who behold Your face, the ineffable kindness.
For You are the true desire and inexpressible joy of those who love You, Christ our God, and all creation sings to You forever. Amen.
To be a fellow being is to take communion. For our sake - for us. Let them be - let them be. Opposite - enemy. Ochiyu - eyes (genitive case of the dual number). Fulfillment of wisdom - filling with wisdom. Application – multiplication. Appropriation – assimilation, acquisition. In the shrine - here: holiness, purity. By those - by them. And I don’t live for anyone - and I no longer live for myself (not for anyone - no longer). About the hope of the eternal life - in the hope of eternal life. In the ever-present I will achieve peace - I will reach the place of eternal peace. Idezhe - where. Inexpressible kindness - indescribable beauty, goodness (see note to the 5th morning prayer). All creation is all creation, all created things.
