O Trophy of Resurrection, O Light of the World,
Thou art the Life of those who dwell in darkness and the Glory of Thy people Israel.
Through Thee we have received the light of immortality;
Thou art our only hope and salvation.
For Thou didst descend into the tomb and destroy death by Thy cross,
And didst rise again on the third day, O Christ God,
Teaching us that we should rise from sin and live in righteousness.
Therefore, with angels we praise Thee:
Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed is He who cometh in the Name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest!
Let the heavenly ones rejoice, let the earthly ones be glad: For with His mighty arm the Lord hath slain death by death, the firstborn of the dead, and from the bosom of hell He saved us, and gave to mankind a great mercy.
Glory, and now, O Theotokos:
O Theotokos, who through thee hath been granted the Spirit, and our God, let us magnify thee in twofold manner: for by thy flesh thou didst receive the Holy Spirit, and with Thy Christ our God, we take up to bear, and deliver us from the fiery darts of the accuser.
