But a new wonder and the merciful, for when the Lord passed through the closed door of the double doors, naked at the entrance, and the bearer of the cross hung at the exit, the door remained shut: this ineffable, as we glorify God.

It is fearful to behold Thee, O Creator, uplifted on the cross with the words of God written upon it, yet suffering in body for Thy servants and lying lifeless in the tomb; Thou who hast raised the dead from hell: therefore do we glorify Thee, because Thou art mighty beyond measure.

And thou, O Saviour, having suffered death for the salvation of the prophets, lying in the grave dead, didst arise to life, making alive the dead by thy resurrection, leading man's nature into light and putting on thee an immortal garment. Wherefore we glorify thee, O Source of eternal Light.

O Theotokos,

Temple and Theotokos glorified Thee, O Virgin, Thy right hand having dwelt in the heights, born without travail all-creating, not turning back all-gateways with Thine flesh. Wherefore by ceaseless prayers of Thine, O Master, barbarian tongues quickly to the end submit.

And He

Irmos: Sweet is the sound of thy singing.

Thou hast filled all with honour from the dishonour of death: by Thy passion Thou didst taste and gavest to the mortal creature immortality, O Lover of mankind.

Spare me, O Lord, and raise me from the grave, for Thou hast risen, and ledst Thee to Thy parents: on the right hand didst Thou place me for thy holy prayers, O Theotokos.

And.

This hymn of that same one.

Satisfaction of thy praises is twofold, O blameless and faithful one: for the desire of thy desire is ever holy and spiritual, receiving it as doth the Mother of God.

Thou hast laid up for us an unblamable prayer-bearer, Thee born of Jesus Christ. By her prayers Thou givest to us the Spirit, bestower of blessings, proceeding from Thy Father through Thee.
