Irimos:

By life alone we are saved,
And by death we perish:
For life is from Thee, O Lord,
And death Thou hast made our foe.

Through Thee, O Life-giving One,
We have understanding of life;
And through death, O Death-conquering One,
We are delivered from the devil.

Thou art the Life, and Thou art the Resurrection:
To Thee do we cry with one voice:
Grant us Thy peace, O Good One.

But a new wonder and God-wondrous thing: for the Lord passeth through the closed door of the double doors, naked at the entrance, and the bearer of the cross hangeth in the exit of God, and the door remaineth shut: this ineffable, as we glorify the Theotokos.

It is fearful to behold Thee, O Creator, raised upon the cross by Thy own Word, yet suffering in the flesh for Thy servants, and lying lifeless in the tomb; Thou who hast even raised the dead from Hades: therefore do we glorify Thee, because of Thy mighty power.

From the depths of death thou hast been delivered, O Saviour, being laid in the tomb dead, and life didst flourish, rising from the dead, guiding the human nature to light, and putting on incorruptible glory. Therefore we magnify thee, Source of eternal Light.

O Theotokos,

Temple and Theotokos glorified Thee, O Virgin, in the high places where Thou didst dwell, having been conceived without sin by Thy pure flesh, not overturning with all Thy doors whatsoever. Wherefore, through ceaseless prayers of Thine, O Master, the tongues of barbarians quickly to the end were subdued.

And He

Irmos: Sweet is the fragrance of Thy Incense.

Thou hast filled all with honour from the dishonour of death: by Thy crucifixion Thou didst taste and gavest to the mortal creature immortality, O Lover of mankind.

Spare me, O Lord, and raise me from the grave, for Thou hast raised Thyself, and didst bring Thee to Thy parents: and Thou didst appoint the right hand for Thy well-pleasing mercy, O God.

And Thee, O Lord.

This hymn of that same one.

Satisfaction of thy praises is twofold, O blameless and faithful one: for the desire of the desire itself is ever divine and spiritual, as we magnify the Most Holy Virgin.

Thou hast laid up for us an unblamable prayer-bearer, Thee born of Jesus Christ. By Thy prayers Thou givest to us the Spirit, giver of good things, proceeding from Thy Father.
