Irimos:

Thou, O Lord, hast created man in Thine own image and after Thine own likeness;
and Thou didst place him upon this earth to have dominion over all the works of Thy hands.
But because of sin, man hath fallen into death,
and all his ways are vanity and confusion.

Therefore, we pray Thee, O Lord our God:
that Thou wouldst grant us repentance and true faith in Thee;
that Thou wouldest cleanse us from all uncleanness both of body and soul;
that Thou wouldest give us Thy Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth.
For Thou art the Life, and without Thee we cannot have life;
Thou art the Light, and without Thee we walk in darkness.

Grant us, O Lord, to see our own sinfulness,
and to turn from it with true contrition of heart.
Let not our prayers be in vain,
but may they bring us unto Thy merciful forgiveness.

For Thou art the Way, the Truth, and the Life;
Thou art the Resurrection and the Life;
Thou art the King of glory, and the Only Begotten Son of God the Father.
To Thee do we cry:
Save us, O Lord our God!

Thou hast laid up for us a firm love from on high, since Thou, the Only-Begotten of Thy

Hearken to the words of Christ, and by thy merciful prayers thou hast healed me with long-suffering from the stings of temptations, and by them thou hast wrought for me deliverance: glory be to thy power, O Lord.

By a mortal body hast Thou partaken of life, O Thou hast partaken of death for the sake of the poor, and Thy sighings for the destitute: and though corrupt Thou didst make glorious, Thou didst raise to life all the dead, because Thou wast glorified.

O Theotokos,

Poměnì Khriste, yež stěžál' yésy stádo strět'iuyu tvoyuyu: preproslavlenyya tvoyya mtrye mlět'ivy molyby prjěmy, i posečtiví ošloblenno, izbavi si siloju tvoyuyu gdyi.

And Thee, O Lord.

Vestmos: Strange and ineffable:

Creating according to the likeness of Thy Man-loving Man, and having been made dead through sin by transgression, Thou hast been laid on the tombstone, and hast risen.

Deadly sins, which death hath devoured, deliver: but the deadly power of hellish kingdom shall be destroyed; rise Thou from the grave, O Lord.

And Thee, O Lord.

This hymn of the same.

Thou, O Master, having set the mountains by the measure of God's holy reason, hast cut them with a stone, save with hands: Thy power, O Lover of Mankind, doth glorify Thee.

Heal thee, O Healer of our nature, swiftly uniting this body and soul through thy precious Word, O Master.

Part of my soul is with Thee, and the desired inheritance Thou hast united me to by Thy Word, becoming flesh that I might be Thy dwelling-place.
