Irimos:

By life alone we are saved,
And by death destroyed;
For death came to us through a stranger,
But life through the Theotokos.

Through her all-merciful arms,
We were delivered from the power of the devil,
And received the gift of immortality.

Therefore, let us with compunction
Praise and glorify our merciful Savior,
Who hath granted unto us life eternal.

Thou hast laid up for us a firm love from Thyself, even as Thou gavest of Thine only-begotten Son for our death. Wherefore we call Thee giving thanks: glory to Thy power, O Lord.

Hearken to the words of Christ, and with humility receivedst Thou wounds, enduring sorely the stings of thorns, and by long-suffering borest the spittings, whereby Thou hast wrought my salvation: glory be to Thy power, O Lord.

Thy Body, O Life, did partake of death, for the sake of the poor, and did comfort the sighing of Thy afflicted: and though thou wast corruptible, Thou glorifiedst the ineffable beauty, and didst raise all to life, because Thou wert glorified.

O Theotokos,

Poměnì Khriste,

And Œn.

Vestmos: Strange and unutterable:

Creating according to the likeness of Thy Man-loving Man, and having been made dead through sin by transgression, Thou hast been laid upon the tombstone, and hast descended.

Deadly sins, which death hath devoured, deliver: but the deadly power of hellish kingdom shall be destroyed; and Thou shalt raise them out of the grave, O Lord.

And Jehovah.

This hymn of the same.

Thou, O Lover of Man, by Thy holy reason measurably hast cut down the mountains, save for their hands: by Thine own strength Thy glory is made manifest.

Heal the sick and unfeignedly restored our nature, O Master, swiftly uniting this body with that of Thy Christ through thy holy word, O Spirit of God.

Part of my soul is with Thee, and the desired inheritance Thou hast united me to by Thy Word, becoming flesh that I might be Thy dwelling-place.
