The heavens tell the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims His handiwork. Day of days the verb burps, and night of night the mind proclaims. Speeches are not the essence, they are lower than words, and their voices are not heard. Their message went out into the whole earth, and their words to the ends of the world. Set your village in the sun, and he, like the bridegroom coming from his palace, will rejoice, like the giant mother-in-law’s way. From the end of the heaven is his departure, and his meeting to the end of the heaven, and there is nothing else that can hide his warmth. The law of the Lord is undefiled, converting souls, the testimony of the Lord is sure, making children wise. The justifications of the Lord are right, gladdening the heart, the commandment of the Lord is bright, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, abiding forever: the destinies of the Lord are true, justified in their entirety, more desirable than gold, and more precious than stone, and sweeter than honey and honeycomb. For Your servant keeps me; if I always keep you, the reward will be great. Who understands the Fall?
Cleanse me from my secrets, and from strangers spare your servant, if they do not possess me, then I will be blameless and cleansed from great sin. And the words of my mouth will be pleasing, and the teaching of my heart will be before You, O Lord, my Helper and my Deliverer. The heavens proclaim the glory of God, and the creation of His hands is proclaimed by the universe. Day speaks word to day, and night speaks wisdom to night. There are no dialects and no languages, no matter what their voices are heard. Their broadcasts spread throughout the whole earth, and their speeches to the ends of the world. God made the sun his abode in heaven; And it, like a bridegroom, leaves its palace, rejoices like a giant, setting off on its journey. From the edge of the sky is his departure, and his meeting with darkness at the edge of the sky; and no one will be deprived of its warmth. The law of the Lord is undefiled, instructing souls; The testimony of the Lord is true, making children wise. The commandments of the Lord are righteous and gladden the heart; The commandment of the Lord is bright, it enlightens the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is pure and endures forever; The judgments of the Lord are true, righteous in everything, more desirable than gold and precious stones, sweeter than honey in the honeycomb. And Your servant keeps them. Great is the reward for those who keep them! Who can fully understand their sins? Cleanse me from my secret sins, protect Thy servant from those alien to nature! If they do not take possession of me, I will be blameless and cleansed from great sin. And the words of my mouth will be pleasing to You, and the thoughts of my heart will always be before You, O Lord, my Giver of help and my Savior!
Psalm 19
Finally, a psalm to David.
Finally, Psalm of David, 19.
The Lord will hear you in the day of sorrow, the name of the God of Jacob will protect you. Help will come from the Holy One and from Zion will protect you. He will remember all your sacrifices, and your burnt offering will be full. The Lord will give you according to your heart and fulfill all your advice. We will rejoice in your salvation and in the name of the Lord our God we will be magnified. The Lord will fulfill all your requests. Now I know that the Lord has saved His Christ; He will hear Him from His holy heaven; salvation is within the power of His right hand. These on chariots, and these on horses, we will call in the name of the Lord our God. We slept and fell, but we rose and recovered. Lord, save the king and we are heard, and once again we will call on Thee. May the Lord hear you in the day of sorrow, may the name of the God of Jacob protect you! May He send you help from the sanctuary, may He protect you from the heights of Zion! May He remember all your sacrifices, and may your burnt offering be abundant! May the Lord create for you according to your heart and fulfill all your plans!
We will rejoice in your salvation; the name of the Lord our God will magnify us. May the Lord fulfill all your requests. Now I know that the Lord has saved His anointed; He heard him from his holy heaven. Mighty is His saving right hand. Some on war chariots, others on horses, but we will call on the name of the Lord our God. They stumbled and fell, but we stood up and strengthened ourselves. Lord, save the king and hear us on the day when we call on You!
Psalm 20
Psalm to David.
Psalm of David, 20.
Lord, in Your power the king will rejoice and he will rejoice greatly in Your salvation. You gave him the desire of his heart, and you deprived him of the desire of his mouth. As you preceded him with a gracious blessing, you placed a crown of honor on his head. I asked You for food, and You gave it long life forever and ever. Great is the glory of him through Your salvation, place glory and splendor on him. As if you gave him a blessing forever and ever, make him glad with Your face. For the king trusts in the Lord, and is not moved by the mercy of the Most High. Let Your hand be found against all Your enemies, Let Your right hand find all those who hate You. For you have laid them like a furnace of fire at the time of Your presence, the Lord will crush me with His wrath, and the fire will destroy them. Thou shalt destroy their fruit from the earth, and their seed from the sons of men. As if I had turned evil against You, thinking of advice that they cannot formulate. As I have laid a backbone, Thou hast prepared their face for Thy abundance.
Exalted, O Lord, by Your power, let us sing and sing of Your strength. Lord, Your power will rejoice the king, and, saved by You, he will rejoice. You gave him what his heart desired, and You did not reject the requests of his lips. For You greeted him with a gracious blessing and placed a crown with precious stones on his head. He asked You for life, and You granted him longevity forever. Great is the glory of him, saved by You; You will place glory and splendor on him. For You will grant him blessing forever; make him glad with joy before Your face. For the king trusts in the Lord, and by the mercy of the Most High he will not be shaken. May Your hand overtake all Your enemies, may Your right hand overtake Your haters! For You will cast them into flames, as into a fiery furnace, at the hour of the appearance of Your face. You, Lord, in Your anger will lead them into confusion and give them up to fire. You will destroy the fruits of their labors on earth and remove their descendants from among the sons of men. For they have conceived evil against You, they have had intentions, but they cannot carry them out. And You will turn them back and smite their faces.
Be exalted, O Lord, in Thy strength! Let us sing and praise Your power.
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
