Judge, Lord, that I walked in my goodness, and trusted in the Lord, I will not faint. Tempt me, O Lord, and test me, kindle my belly and my heart. For Thy mercy is before my eyes, and I am well pleased in Thy truth. I do not ride with the vain multitude, and I do not go anywhere with the transgressors. I hate the church of the wicked, and I will not sit with the wicked. I will wash my innocent hands, and I will venerate Your altar, O Lord. Let me hear the voice of Your praise, and tell me all Your wonders. Lord, I have loved the beauty of Your house and the dwelling place of Your glory. Let me not destroy my soul with the wicked, and let me not lose my life from the blood of men. In the hand of iniquity, their right hand is filled with reward. But I walk in my kindness, deliver me, O Lord, and have mercy on me. My foot is in the right: in the churches I will bless You, Lord. Judge me, Lord, according to Your righteousness, for I live in kindness and, trusting in the Lord, I will not faint. Tempt me, Lord, test me, kindle my womb and my heart!

Your mercy is before my eyes, and I have pleased You by keeping Your truth. I have not sat in the council of the vain, and I will not go in with the wicked. I have hated the congregation of the wicked, and I will not sit with the wicked. I will wash my hands with the innocent, and I will go around Thy altar, O Lord; May I hear the song of Your glory and tell Your wonders. Lord, I have loved the splendor of Your house and the holy place where Your glory dwells. May you not destroy my soul with the wicked and my life with men who shed blood! They have lawlessness in their hands, they are full of self-interest. I live in kindness; deliver me, O Lord, and have mercy on me! My feet are on the right path; I will bless You in the churches, Lord!

Psalm 26

Psalm to David, before the anointing.
Psalm of David, before the anointing, 26.

Lord is my enlightenment and my Savior, whom will I fear? Lord, Protector of my life, from whom shall I fear? Sometimes those who insult me come close to me with malice, and even destroy my flesh, those who insult me, and my enemies, and you become weak and fall. Even if a regiment turns against me, my heart will not fear, even if it rises up to fight against me, I will trust in Him. I have asked one thing of the Lord, and I will require that I may live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, that I may behold the beauty of the Lord and visit His holy church. For He hid me in His village in the day of my evil, He covered me in the secret of His village, He lifted me up on a rock. And now, behold, I have lifted up my head against my enemies: I have died and devoured in His village the sacrifice of praise and shouting, I will sing and sing praises to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, my voice, which I cried: have mercy on me and hear me. My heart says to you, I will seek the Lord. I will seek Your face, O Lord, I will seek Your face.

Do not turn Your face away from me, and do not turn aside with anger from Your servant: be my helper, do not reject me, and do not forsake me, O God of my Savior. For my father and mother abandoned me, but the Lord will receive me. Set the law, O Lord, in Thy way and guide me on the right path for my enemy’s sake. Do not betray me into the souls of those who are afflicted by me, as if I stood up as a witness to unrighteousness and lied untruthfully to myself. I believe in seeing the good Lord on the earth of the living. Be patient with the Lord, be of good courage and let your heart be strong, and be patient with the Lord. The Lord is my enlightenment and my Savior, whom shall I fear? Lord, Protector of my life, whom shall I fear? When my malicious insulters and my enemies approached me, wanting to destroy me, they became exhausted and fell. If a regiment turns against me, my heart will not fear; If an army rises up against me, I trust in God. I asked one thing from the Lord and strive for this: to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to look at the beauty of the Lord and to visit His holy church.

For He hid me in His abode on the day of my troubles, He hid me in the secret peace of His abode, He lifted me up on a rock; And now He has lifted up my head above my enemies. I walked around the altar and offered a sacrifice in His monastery with my praise and rejoicing. I sing and glorify the Lord. Hear, O Lord, my voice, I appeal to You: have mercy on me and hear me! My heart said to You: “I seek the Lord.” My eyes seek You; I seek Your face, O Lord. Do not turn Your face away from me, do not turn away in anger from Your servant; give me help, do not reject me and do not forsake me, O God, my Savior! For my father and my mother left me, but the Lord accepted me. Grant me the law, O Lord, in Your path and guide me on the right path in the face of my enemies. Do not deliver me into the hands of my persecutors, for unrighteous witnesses have risen up against me and have been deceived in their unrighteousness. I believe: I will see the blessings of the Lord in the land of the living! Trust in the Lord, be of good cheer, and let your heart be strengthened; trust in the Lord!

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 27

Psalm to David.
Psalm of David, 27.

To You, Lord, I will cry, my God, that you may not be silent from me, and never be silent from me: and I will become like those who go down into the pit. Hear, O Lord, the voice of my prayer, always pray to You, always raise my hand to Your holy church. Do not attract me from sinners, and do not destroy me with those who do injustice, who speak peace with their neighbors, but do evil in their hearts. Give them, O Lord, according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their undertakings: according to their work, give them your hand: give them their reward. Because I do not understand the works of the Lord and the works of His hand: I have destroyed, and I have not built. Blessed is the Lord, for He has heard the voice of my prayer. The Lord is my Helper and my Defender: my heart trusts in Him, and He will help me, and my flesh will prosper, and I will confess my will to Him. The Lord is the strengthener of His people, and the Defender of the salvation of His Christ. Save Thy people and bless Thy wealth, and save me and take me forever.

To You, Lord, I cry, my God; Do not remain silent before me, lest in Your silence I become like those who descend into the grave! Hear, O Lord, my prayer, when I pray to You, when I lift up my hands to Your holy church! Do not bring me together with sinners and do not destroy me with those who do injustice, with those who say “peace” to their neighbors with malice in their hearts! Reward them, O Lord, according to their deeds and the wickedness of their plans, reward them according to the works of their hands, reward them what they deserve! For they did not understand the works of the Lord, the works of His hands. Defeat them and don't let them rise! Blessed be the Lord, for He has heard my prayer! The Lord is my Giver of help and my Protector; My heart trusted in Him, and He helped me, and my flesh flourished; and of my own free will I glorify Him. The Lord is the stronghold of His people, the Protector and salvation of His anointed. Save Your people and bless Your heritage, save them and exalt them forever!
