Thee we magnify, O Theotokos, and with hymns we reverently contemplate: Even as the sons praised the Triune, Thou, O holy one, didst renew the world in Thy womb all-whole, the glorious Father of God, and most-praised.

Therefore let the earth be dismayed, and let the heavens tremble, and the earth be moved out of its place: for the lawless are laid waste by the Lord, and they that forsake the law of their God, and have forgotten the law of holiness. For the strong city is become a desolation, and the fortified city is shut up because of the presence of the Lord of hosts, even the Lord.

Thou hast been as one without help, and being invoked among the dead by our will was raised up for us through Thy power, Thou hast freed all, and with Thy mighty hand didst raise Thee up, O glorious Father God, and highly praised.

O Theotokos,

Rejoice, fount of waters ever flowing.
Rejoice, paradise of food.
Rejoice, wall of faithful ones.
Rejoice, unassailable.
Rejoice, world-wide joy, by which our glorious Father God and greatly praised has been exalted unto us.

And Irmos: Morning hymns with piety:

Of old was the land profaned with blood, crimsoned by fratricidal hands: but with thy precious blood thou hast been anointed and dost cry out: Father God, blessed art Thou.

Let the Jews who are hostile to Christ weep with shame for His crucifixion: but let those who rejoice, lift up their hands in joy and cry out: Blessed be the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

With all thy bearing, O Soul, rejoicing, thou criest out the Angel: Arise, O Christ, come and see the tokens, the shroud and the tomb, and cry: Blessed art Thou, O Father.
And Irmos: I beseech Thee:

Thou, O Theotokos, by the prophetic understanding of Jacob's ladder, art uplifted on high and livest with men, because of Thy good will, glorious Father God is praised and glorified.

Rejoicing in reading, and thou, Pastor, who wast crucified for man's sake upon the true wood, exalted above all men for His ineffable mercy, dost lift up thy voice, O Father God, and art glorified most highly.

But the New Adam, O Ever-Blessed God, from thy pure blood thou hast become eternal verily; wherefore now pray for me, who hath besought thee to renew: Glory be to thy Father and greatly to be praised.
