Irimos:

O Life, O unsearchable Life,
Thou who art ever with Thee,
Who art suddenly manifest in the flesh,
And dost work compunction of heart in them that believe.

O Delusion, spiritual Deception,
That leadeth many into the net of sin,
And draweth them down to the depths of perdition!

O Stranger, O foreign Power,
Thou who rulest over Thy creation,
And makest it a spectacle for Thine enemies!

O Creature, O work of Thy hands,
Who art made in Thine image and likeness,
Yet hast fallen into the vanity of sin!

Therefore, we cry to Thee:
Have mercy on us, O Lord our God!

Thee we magnify, O Theotokos, and with hymns we reverently contemplate: Even as the children praise the Third who is exalted, the world renewed in Thy womb is whole, the praiseworthy Father of our God, and highly glorified.

Therefore the earth trembleth, the sun hideth itself, and the brightness thereof passeth away: the church's veil is rent asunder; the stones are split: for upon the cross hung the Blessed God-bearer, the Praisesworthy Father of our God, glorified.

Thou hast been as one without strength, and wast invoked among the dead by our will for Thy sake, being raised up freely, Thou didst release all, and with Thy mighty hand didst raise Thee up, O glorious Father God, and highly praised.

The Theotokos:

Rejoice, fount of waters ever flowing.
Rejoice, paradise of food.
Rejoice, wall of faithful ones.
Rejoice, unassailable.
Rejoice, world-wide joy, by which our heavenly Father and greatly glorified God has brought us praise.

And Irmos: Morning hymns with reverence:

Of old was the land profaned with blood, crimsoned by fratricidal hands: but with thy precious blood thou hast been sprinkled and hast cried out: Father God, blessed art Thou.

Let the Jews who are hostile to Christ weep with shame for their contempt of Him: but let those who believe rejoice, and lift up their hands, and cry: Blessed is He Who is God's Blessing.

With thy bearing of the myrrh, O Anointed, thou hast appeared as an Angel, crying: Arise, O Christ, and come and behold the tokens, the empty tomb and the grave, and cry: Blessed art thou, O Father.
Feast of the Theotokos
And Irmos: I beseech Thee:

The Theotokos, as the prophet Jacob spiritually understands the ladder: by thee being exalted on earth, we are made to live with men, for thy will, O glorious Father God, is praised and glorified.

Rejoicing in reading, thou hast passed through the Shepherd, Who was crucified for man's sake upon the true wood, exalted above all mankind, for His immeasurable mercy to the belly: Blessed be the Father and greatly glorified.

But the New Adam, O Ever-Blessed God, of thy pure blood thou hast become eternal verily; wherefore now pray for me, who hath promised to renew calling thee: Glory be to thy Father and greatly glorified.
