Irmos: With God's light, O Blessed One, illumine the souls of You in the morning with love, I pray, lead You to the Word of God, the true God, calling out from the darkness of sin.

Morning Ti - those who turn to You from early morning.

With Thy God's light, O Blessed One, illumine the souls of Thy morning with love, I pray, lead Thee... The construction of the phrase is unusual for us and therefore incomprehensible. I pray to Thee, O Good One: illumine the souls of Thy morning (so that) with Thy God’s light – to lead Thee with love (love for the knowledge of You) – the true God, calling out from the darkness of sin (the true God, calling to Himself from the sinful darkness).

Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me.

Remember, accursed man, how you were enslaved by lies, slander, robbery, infirmity, by a fierce beast, for the sake of sins; My sinful soul, is this what you wanted?

Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me.

I tremble, for I have committed guilt for all: with my eyes I behold, my ears I hear, I speak evil with my tongue, I betray everything to myself to hell; My sinful soul, is this what you wanted?

Glory:

Thou hast received the fornicator and the repentant thief, O Saviour, and I am the only one burdened with sinful laziness and enslaved by evil deeds; My sinful soul, is this what you wanted?

And now:

Wonderful and quick helper to all people, Mother of God, help me, unworthy, for my sinful soul desires it.

Udi – members of the body (unit number of beats).

+ Thou hast received the fornicator and the repentant thief, O Savior... As a reminder to the soul, the prodigal son of the parable (Luke 15:11-32) and the prudent thief of the Cross (Luke 23:39-43) are given.

Ochima look, ushima hear... Ochima, ushima are forms of the dual number.
