He drowned the chosen horsemen and military leaders in the Red Sea.

Let us sing to the Lord:

He covered them with the abyss - like a stone sank into the depths.

Let us sing to the Lord:

Your right hand, O Lord, is glorified in power.

Let us sing to the Lord:

Your right hand, O Lord, has crushed your enemies, and in abundance of glory you have defeated your opponents.

Let us sing to the Lord:

You sent Your anger - it swallowed them up like straw; from the breath of Your will the water parted.

Let us sing to the Lord:

The waters hardened like a wall, the waves hardened in the middle of the sea.

Let us sing to the Lord:

The enemy said: “In pursuit, I will overtake; I will divide the spoil, I will satisfy my soul; I will destroy with my sword, my hand will rule.”

Let us sing to the Lord:

You sent Your spirit and the sea covered them; like lead, they sank in the stormy waters.

Let us sing to the Lord:

Lord, which of the gods is like You? Who is so glorified in holy deeds, marvelous in glory, works miracles?

Let us sing to the Lord:

You stretched out Your right hand, and the earth swallowed them up. He brought forth in His justice these Thy people who delivered.

Let us sing to the Lord:

You have called them in Your power to Your holy dwelling. The pagans heard and were irritated; torments befell those who live in Philistine.

Let us sing to the Lord:

Then the leaders and leaders of the Moabites of Edom began to fuss: trembling seized them; all those living in Canaan melted away.

Let us sing to the Lord:

Let horror and trembling fall upon them; let them turn to stone from the might of Your hand.

Let us sing to the Lord:

Until Your people come in, O Lord; until Your people come in, which You have purchased.

Let us sing to the Lord:

Bring them in and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, in the prepared place of Your abode, which You have made, O Lord, the sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have prepared.

Let us sing to the Lord:

The Lord reigns forever, and forever, and henceforth. 19 Pharaoh's cavalry and chariots and horsemen entered the sea, and the Lord sent the water of the sea upon them.

Let us sing to the Lord:

And the children of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea.

Let us sing to the Lord:

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let us sing to the Lord:

And now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Let us sing to the Lord:

And at the end the reader sings: For gloriously He was glorified.

Prophecies of Zephaniah reading (Zeph.3:8-15).

This is the word of the Lord: Be patient with Me on the day of My resurrection, for a testimony: My judgment is before the multitude of nations before I receive kings, before My wrath is poured out on me, all the wrath of My wrath: Behind is fire. Through My zeal the whole earth will be devoured, for then I will turn the tongue of the people to His generation, to call on everyone the name of the Lord, to work for Him under one yoke. From the ends of the rivers of Ethiopia I will accept those who supplicate Me; among My scattered ones they will offer sacrifices to Me. On the day he will not be ashamed of all your undertakings, in the image of which you have dishonored me: for then I will take away from you the reproaches of your annoyance, and whoever will not be magnified in My holy mountain. And I will leave the people in you meek and humble, and they will revere the name of the Lord. The remnant of Israel shall not commit unrighteousness, nor shall they speak vain things, nor shall a flattering tongue be found in their mouth. They will devour and nest, and they will not be terrified.

Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion, preach to the daughters of Jerusalem, rejoice and be adorned with all your heart, daughter of Jerusalem. The Lord has taken away your iniquity, your enemy has delivered you out of the hand: the Lord will reign in your midst, and you shall see no evil.

Reading the prophecy of Zephaniah [3:8–15]

Thus says the Lord: Wait for Me on the day of My resurrection for a testimony. For then I will change the language of the nations in their families, so that everyone will call on the name of the Lord and serve Him with one accord. From the borders of the Ethiopian rivers I will accept those who pray to Me, among those who are scattered they will offer sacrifices to Me. On that day you will not be ashamed of all your actions in which you have sinned against Me, for then I will take away from you the reproaches of your vanity, and you will no longer be magnified on My holy mountain. And I will leave among you a people meek and humble, and those who remain in Israel will revere the name of the Lord, and they will not do unrighteousness, and they will not speak empty words, and no flattering tongue will be found in their mouth, for they will feed and rest, and no one will make them afraid. Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion, preach joyfully, daughter of Jerusalem, rejoice and rejoice with all your heart, daughter of Jerusalem! The Lord has forgiven your iniquities, delivered you from the hand of your enemies, the Lord will reign among you, and you will see no more evil.

Reading of the Third Kings (1 Kings 17:8–23).

The word of the Lord came to Elijah, the verb: Arise, and go to Zarephath of Sidon, and abide there: for behold, the commandments there are for the widowed woman to nourish thee. And he arose, and went to Zarephath of Sidon, and came to the gates of the city: and behold, a widow woman was gathering wood. And Elijah cried after her, and said to her: Bring me today a little water in a vessel, and I will drink. And he went and took it, and Elijah cried out after her, and said to her: Take it for me, and wrap the bread in your hand, and yam. And the woman said: As the Lord thy God liveth, if I have unleavened bread, but only a handful of flour in the waterpot, and a little oil in the baggage: and behold, I will gather two logs of wood, and go down, and make it for myself and for the children. mine, and we sleep, and we die. And Elijah said to her: Be bold, go in, and do according to your word: but make a little unleavened bread from there first, and bring it to you: then do it for yourself and your children afterward. For this is what the Lord God of Israel says: The waterpot of flour will not fail, and the abundance of oil will not fail until the end, until the Lord will give rain on the earth.

And the woman went, and did according to the commandment of Eliin, and gave unto him, and both her meat and her children. And from that day on, the waterpot of flour did not fail, and the arrogance of oil did not diminish, according to the word of the Lord, which was spoken by the hand of Elijah. And it came to pass that the son of the wife of the lady of the house fell ill, and his illness became very strong, until his spirit did not remain in him. And he said to Elijah: what do you and me, O man of God? Did you come in to me to remember my iniquities and kill my son? And Elijah said to the woman: Give me thy son: and he was taken out of her bosom, and carried him up into the upper room, where he himself slept, and laid him on his bed. And Elijah cried out to the Lord and said: Woe is me, O Lord, the Witness of the widow, who now dwells with me, You have embittered You, even to put her son to death. And I blew on the youth three times, and called on the Lord, and said: Lord my God, let the soul of this youth return, and so be it. And the youth cried out, and brought him down from the upper room to the house, and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said: see, your son lives.

And the woman said to Elijah: Behold, I understand that you are a man of God, and the word of the Lord in your mouth is true.
