Troparion of prophecy, tone 8:

With a word you have accomplished everything by your power, O God, and you have brought us from non-existence into being: do not betray us by our iniquity, sinless Lord, we pray.

Glory, and now: and we repeat the same.

Troparion of prophecy, tone 8: In Your power You arranged everything with your word, O God, and brought us into existence from non-existence; do not leave us with our iniquities, sinless Lord, we pray!

Glory, even now: and we repeat the same troparion.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 57), tone 6: The righteous will rejoice when he sees vengeance.

Verse: If you truly speak the truth, you will judge righteously, sons of humanity.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 57), tone 6: The righteous will rejoice when he sees the punishment.

Verse: If you speak truthfully about justice, then you will judge rightly, sons of men!

Reading the prophecies of Isaiah. [Isa.13:2-13]

This is the word of the Lord: raise up a sign on the mountain, lift up your voice to them, do not be afraid: press with your hand, open the princes. I command, sanctify the essence: and I lead them, the giants come to fulfill My wrath, rejoicing, together and reproaching. The voice of many tongues on the mountains is like the voice of many tongues, the voice of kings, and the tongues of those gathered together. The Lord of hosts commanded the tongue of the armor-fighter, To come from the earth from afar, from the edge of the foundation of the heavens, The Lord and His armor-fighters, to corrupt the whole universe. Howl: the day of the Lord is near, and destruction from God will come. For this reason every hand shall weaken, and every soul of man shall fear: And the messengers shall be troubled, and I shall suffer sickness, like women in travail: and they shall grieve one another, and be terrified, and they will change their face like a flame. Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, full of wrath and wrath, which will make the whole world void, and sinners will be destroyed by it.

For the heavenly stars and Orion, and all the heavenly adornment, will not give their light, and the rising sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light. And I will command the whole world of evil, and to the wicked their sins: I will destroy the reproach of the wicked, and humble the reproach of the proud. And those who remain will be more honest than tender gold: and a person will be more honest than a stone like the one from Sufir. For the heavens will be furious, and the earth will be shaken from its foundations, for the fury of the wrath of the Lord of hosts in the day when His wrath will come.

Reading the prophecy of Isaiah [13:2–13]

Thus says the Lord: Raise a banner on the open mountain, call them with a loud voice, do not be afraid, wave your hand: “Sovereigns, open!” I command; they are sanctified, and I lead them; the giants come in joy and riot to stop My wrath. The voice of many nations on the mountains is like the voice of many nations, the voice of kings and nations gathered together. The Lord of hosts commanded the armed people to come from a distant land, from the end of the firmament of heaven; The Lord comes, armed with Him, to destroy the whole world. Wail, for the day of the Lord is near, and contrition will come from God. Therefore, every hand will become weak and every human soul will experience fear. The ambassadors will be dismayed and sickness will befall them, like a woman giving birth; and they will mourn one another, and will be horrified, and their faces will burn like flames. For behold, the inevitable day of the Lord is coming with indignation and wrath to turn the whole world into a wilderness and destroy sinners from it. For the stars of heaven, Orion and all the adornment of the sky will not give their light, and the sun will be darkened at rising, and the moon will not give its light.

And I will punish the whole world for evil, and the wicked for their sins, and I will destroy the arrogance of the wicked and humble the arrogance of the proud. And those who remain will be more precious than native gold, and man more valuable than the stone of Ophir. For the heavens will shake and the earth will be removed from its foundations at the breath of the wrath of the Lord of hosts on the day when His wrath comes.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 58), tone 7: O God, You are my protector,/ and Your mercy will go before me.

Verse: Deliver me from my enemies, O God, and deliver me from those who rise up against me.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 58), tone 7: O God, You are my Protector, and Your mercy will follow before me.

Verse: Remove me from my enemies, O God, and deliver me from those who rise up against me!
