Troparion of prophecy, tone 1: Deliver us from enemies, visible and invisible, O Lord, lest the pagans cry: Where is their God? Let them understand, Master, that you despise the sins of your people who repent.
Glory, and now: and we repeat the same.
Troparion of prophecy, tone 1: Deliver us from visible and invisible enemies, O Lord: may the pagans never say: “Where is their God”? Master, let them know that You do not look at the sins of Your people when they repent.
Glory, even now: and we repeat the same troparion.
Prokeimenon (Psalm 13), tone 1: The Lord will always return the captivity of his people.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 13), tone 1: When the Lord returns His people from captivity, Jacob will rejoice and Israel will rejoice.
Verse: The madman said in his heart: “There is no God.”
Reading the prophecies of Isaiah (Is. 2:11–21).
The Lord alone will ascend on that day. It is the day of the Lord of hosts against everyone who is annoying, and proud, and against everyone who is high and majestic, and they will humble themselves. And on every cedar of Lebanon that is high and exalted, and on every acorn tree of Bashan, and on every high mountain, and on every high hill. And on every high pillar, and on every high wall. And for every ship of the sea, and for every vision of the goodness of ships. And every man shall humble himself, and the height of man shall fall, and the Lord alone shall be exalted on that day. And everything made with hands will be hidden in caves, and in the clefts of stones, and in dens of the earth, from the presence of the fear of the Lord, and from the glory of His strength, when He rises to destroy the earth. On that day man will cast out the abominations he has created, gold and silver, and let them be worshiped by the vain and the bat. Enter into the dens of the solid rock, and into the clefts of the stones, from the presence of the fear of the Lord, and from the glory of His strength, when He arises to crush the earth.
Reading the prophecy of Isaiah [2:11b–21]
The Lord alone will ascend on that day. For the day of the Lord of hosts is coming on everyone who is bold and proud, and on everyone who is high and proud, and they will be humbled; and for every cedar of Lebanon that is tall and towering, and for every oak of Bashan, and for every high mountain, and for every high hill, and for every high tower, and for every high wall, and for every ship of the sea, and for every kind of beauty of ships. And every man will be humbled, and the height of man will fall, and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day. And they will hide everything made by hands, bringing it into caves, and into clefts of rocks, and into holes in the earth, from the fear of the Lord and from the glory of His strength, when He rises to crush the earth. For in that day man will throw away their abominations, gold and silver, which they have made for themselves to worship vain things and bats, so that they may enter into the cracks of the solid rocks and into the clefts of the rocks, for the fear of the Lord and for the glory of His strength, when He arises to crush the earth.
