Lord my God, in knowing that I am not worthy, I am content below, so that under the roof of the church of my soul you have entered, all empty and fallen, and there is no place in me worthy of bowing your head; but just as you humbled yourself from above for our sake, humble yourself now to my humility; and just as you received it in the den and in the wordless manger, reclining, I will take it in the wordless manger of my soul, and bring it into my defiled body. But let the coal of Your Most Holy Body, and Your Honest Blood, be for me, for the sanctification and enlightenment and health of my humble soul and body, for the relief of the burdens of many of my sins, for the protection from all the devil’s actions, for the driving away and prohibition of my evil and evil custom, for the mortification of passions, for the supply of the commandments Yours, in the application of Your Divine grace, and the appropriation of Your Kingdom. I come to You not as if I despise, O Christ our God, but as if I were daring in Your ineffable goodness; and let me not withdraw from Thy fellowship in the midst of Thy communication; I will be hunted down by the mental wolf. Because I am not worthy, I am less satisfied - I know that I am unworthy and not sufficient (the words satisfied and worthy are synonyms, they have the same meaning; the use of synonymous words in one phrase to enhance the meaning is characteristic of both the language of the Bible and the language of prayers). Zanezhe - because. It is empty and fallen - it is empty and in ruins. Not imashi - You do not gain. Bow your head - where (You) can bow your head. As You humbled us from on high for Yourself - just as You (descended) from Heights (Heavenly) and humbled Yourself for us. Just as You accepted us - as You willed, as You pleased. In the manger of wordless animals (wordlessness - animals). Sitse - so. The wordless of my soul - unreasonable, reckless of my soul.
In the udes - in the members of the body. Nurturing - guiding (like a helmsman directs a ship). My belly is my life. Honoring me - honoring me. Standing at Your right hand is standing at Your right hand (that is, with the righteous).
+ And you are not worthy of a place in me, so that you can bow your head... The words of the Lord: Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head (Matt. 8:20; Luke 9:58) - the prayer addresses us personally: it is we who must become the dwelling place of Christ.
But just as you humbled us from above for your sake, humble yourself now to my humility. The word humility in this phrase plays with all the shades of its meaning. The words “You humbled Yourself from on high” mean both “You came down from on high” and “You humbled Yourself.” The words humble yourself and now my humility support and develop both of these meanings: descend now from the Heavenly heights to me, who is below; humiliate yourself now to me, insignificant... and humbly, without pride, calling on you. (In the Greek text, where in the Slavic there is humbleness - the word (symmetriason), that is, “commensurate”: liken Yourself to me in size!).

Let me not withdraw from Thy communion in the depths of Thy communication; I will be hunted down by the mental wolf... Again we have before us a phrase of a characteristically Greek structure: the negation does not apply not to the immediate words, but to the phrase as a whole: “Let it not happen that, far separated from You, I will be kidnapped by a spiritual wolf.”
