Wonderful are Your works, O Lord, and there is no end to the greatness of Your mind! How through manifold and unsearchable paths do You lead Your people throughout this world from the world below to the world above! You destroy the wisdom of the wise, you reject the wisdom of the wise, you waste and humble the high and proud, you degrade and disgrace the strong and noble; You choose the wild and humble, the humble, the weak and the honorable, elevate, strengthen and glorify, revealing the wise and good advice of Your all-providential vision as a child and hiding them from those who imagine themselves to be perfect in their own minds. Who is content to understand all Your destiny, O God, who, through the richness of Your goodness and long-suffering, admonishes, teaches and saves us, Your sinners and unworthy servants?
You apply understanding to him and give him sound reasoning, but you take possession of him, and from him you pluck the heart of stone and put it in flesh; You bestowed upon him strength and vigor in the body, as well as spiritual courage; You allow others to be sick in soul and body; You make him happy, but you want to make him sad; You live, but you die. Oh, great and inscrutable in the mysteries of His care for us, Lord our God! With all my heart and with all my heart I confess before You, as with the departed (neck) ever remembered by me, Your servant (Your servant) (name), not without wisdom and goodness Your will and vision was a crushing illness of the soul, its true guilt and all its strength, You alone know the essence: even more so, reverently prostrating myself before You, Lord, indescribable, but I will bring forth saving destinies, with tenderness I cry out to You: incline Your ear to my prayer and your love for mankind, and soon hear my prayer for this servant Yours (Yours).
I am perplexed and greatly grieve over the extraordinary fate of him (her), because, not like other people, sense, self-awareness and firmness in memory, having gone to You from us, but as if deprived of his mind, perverted in meaning, painfully saddened in heart, not having the self-possessing power of his will, frantically and ferociously appearing in his actions. God! God! What is this incomprehensible phenomenon in the spiritual life of humanity? How does one created in Your image and likeness fall into extreme foolishness, go mad, go berserk, and do inappropriate things? What is this with the breath of Thy life, O God Almighty?
Truly, according to Your, Lord, unsearchable paths and unspeakable advice, all this wisdom and good intentions are arranged by You: bring forth, as if a timely punishment, and let it go disorganization and transformation in the wonderful composition of our being, so that by the hidden ways of You you will arrange, restore and correct all obstinate and corrupted people, even the unreasonable, evil and crafty The essence is created by custom, and so visible evil in people, with You, All-Good Master, ever-flowing Source of Wisdom and Reason, with You they turn into good.
For this reason, humbly falling to Your inexhaustible bounty, O our Humane-loving Savior, I pray to You, the Giver of good things, accept Your departed servant (Your servant) (name), as you so dearly fell sick and suffered in this life, accept by Thy mercy, and do not add, O Good One, even there, in the country of our brothers who have departed from us, the cold and suffering of him (her), even the essence is immeasurably crueler than here on earth; but turn away from him (her) the rebuke of Your wrath and look at him (on her) with the bright eye of Your mercy; but do not let the cruelty perish forever, for you Himself, Most Merciful Savior, do not want the death of a sinner, do not want anyone to perish, Sweetest Jesus Christ, the Son O God, heal those who are incurably ill in body, cleanse lepers, and make the demons intelligent!
I pray to You, Lord, heal the soul of Your departed servant (Your servant) (name), cleanse him (you) from all voluntary and involuntary, known and unknown sins and His (her) sins, Yourself, Savior, cleanse, as it was not possible for him (her) to confess to You rationally and in sound memory, for this reason, have mercy on him (her), Lord, and take from from him (from her) all the heavy burden of sins. Take away the sins of the world! Cover and justify him (you) with Your grace, and, likewise, weigh him with fate.
Save Thy servant (s) from Thy chosen ones, but grant him the opportunity to be a fellow-member of the heavenly states, like Thy wretched servant (Thy servant), likewise. here on earth she is excommunicated and alienated for herself from her relatives, friends and neighbors, and do not deprive him of your Heavenly Kingdom, as she is deprived here on earth of seeing good Yours and left to drag out his days performing bitter deeds: for this sake, I pray to You, Lord, give him rest with Your saints in the House of Your Father, with Him, to You, To our Savior and Giver of Life, together with Your Most Holy Spirit, we always send glory, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
