God and Father, to the Creator and Preserver of all creatures! Grace my children (names) with Your Holy Spirit, may He kindle in them the true fear of God, which is the beginning of wisdom and true prudence, according to which whoever walks will have praise forever.
Delight them with Thy true understanding, keep them from all idolatry and false teaching, so that they may grow in true and saving faith and in all piety, and may they remain so to the end. Grant them faith, humility and obedience in their hearts and minds, so that they may grow in years and in grace before You and before people.
Plant in their hearts love for Your Divine Word, that they may acquire reverence in prayer and in the service of God, that they may be sincerely respectful to Your servants and to every person, be bashful in your manners, chaste in your disposition, truthful in your speech, faithful in your deeds, diligent in your studies and work, careless in doing what is due to them, reasonable and righteous towards all people.
Keep them from all the temptations of the evil of the world, and let not the evil community corrupt them. Do not let them fall into uncleanness and unchastity, so that they do not shorten their lives and do not offend their neighbors. Be their protection in all adversity, so that their vain death does not snatch them away.
Create, so that they will not become our dishonor and shame, but may they become honor and joy, so that Your Kingdom may be multiplied by them and the number of Your faithful ones will increase, and may they abide in the heavens around Thy table, like the olive branches of heaven, and with all Thy elect, may they give honor, praise and glorification to You, our Lord Jesus Christ, forever and ever. Amen.
