After the proclamation: “Let us pray to the Lord in peace,” those present are invited to pray:
About the heavenly world and the salvation of our souls; About leaving sins in the blessed memory of the deceased; About the ever-memorable servant of God (name), peace, silence, blessed memory; To forgive him every sin, voluntary and involuntary; O uncondemned one to appear at the terrible throne of the Lord of glory; About those who cry and are sick, looking forward to Christ’s consolation; Let him be freed from all illness and sorrow and sighing, and let him dwell where the light of the face of God is present; Oh, for the Lord our God will restore his soul to a brighter place, a greener place, a calmer place, where all the righteous abide; About its worship in the bosom of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob; May we be delivered from all sorrow, anger and need. Intercede, save, have mercy and preserve us, O God, by Your grace. Having asked for the mercy of God and the kingdom of heaven and the remission of sins, we will hand over each other and our whole life to Christ our God.
