Troparion, tone 7

Thou art transfigured on the mountain, O Christ God, / showing Thy disciples Thy glory, / like unto a man; / may Thy ever-present light shine upon us sinners, / through the prayers of the Mother of God, / Light-Giver, glory to Thee.

Like a mozhahu - as far as they could (see her). Ever-present - eternal.

Kontakion, Tone 7 Thou art transfigured on the mountain, / and as the host of Thy disciple, / saw Thy glory, O Christ God; / so that when they see You crucified, / they will understand free suffering, / and preach to the world, / that You are truly the Father’s radiance.

Like a container - as much as they could contain. Pupils are students. When - when. Suffering will then understand that it is voluntary - they will understand that Your suffering is voluntary.

Greatness

We magnify You, Life-Giving Christ, and honor the glorious transfiguration of Your most pure flesh.

Zadostoynik

Chorus: Magnify, my soul, the transfigured Lord on Tabor.

Irmos of the 9th song of the canon: Thy incorruptible Nativity appear; God passed from Thy side, like a flesh-bearer appearing on earth, and living with men: Thee, Mother of God, with this we magnify all.

Your Nativity appeared incorruptible - Your generations were virgin. From Your side - from Your womb. Like a flesh-bearer - incarnate. That's why.

The canon (and accordingly the honorable person) is the creation of the Venerable Cosmas of Maium.
