By Thy holy Incarnation, O Lover of Mankind, Thou didst illumine the sun with Thy Resurrection light and didst enlighten all creation. Receive our evening hymn, O Merciful One.

Thy rising, O Lord, enlighteneth all the world and Thy creation hath withered away in longing. Wherefore, we cry: All-powerful Lord, glory be to Thee.

God Thy Son, unchangeable, though in body Thou didst suffer change, for not enduring to behold the form of Thee hanging on the Cross, we fell prostrate with fear and crying out Thy long-suffering: having gone down into Hell, Thou didst rise again after three days, giving life to the world, and didst command the Spirit.

Let our death from the hand of death thou preserve and deliver, for thou didst undergo death: and on the third day didst rise again, with thyself didst raise up, O Jesus Christ, whom those knowing thee found: and didst enlighten the world. Glory be to thee.

O Theotokos,

Without seed from the Holy Spirit, by the will of the flesh thou didst conceive and bring forth a Son, from the Father before the ages: for us also, though without the Father, thou didst bear in the flesh and nourishedst with milk of thy breasts. Therefore cease not to pray, that our souls may be delivered from tribulations.
