By Thy holy Incarnation, O Lover of Mankind, Thou didst enlighten the sun with Thy Resurrection light and didst make all creation radiant. Receive our evening hymn, O Merciful One.

Thy resplendent rising, O Lord, enlighteneth all the world and Thy creation hath been kindled thereby. Wherefore, the Adamite curses are changed; we cry: All-powerful Lord, glory be to Thee.

God Thy Son, unchangeable, in flesh didst change Thyself, whom not enduring to behold with thy countenance, trembling thou dost bow down, and crying out thou singest Thy long-suffering: having gone down into hell, for three days Thou didst rise again, giving life to the world, and didst pour forth Thy mercy.

Let our death from the hand of death thou deliver, O Thou who hast endured death: for three days didst Thou rise from the dead, and with Thyself didst raise up those who knew Thee; and Thou didst enlighten the world. Glory be to Thee.

O Theotokos,

Without seed from the Holy Spirit, by the will of the flesh thou didst conceive and bring forth a child, O Theotokos, before thy Father's throne from of old: for us also, though without thy husband, thou didst bear in the flesh and nourishedst with milk. Therefore cease not to pray, that our souls may be delivered from tribulations.
