By Thy holy Incarnation, I have been delivered from passions, and by Thy Resurrection, I have been saved from corruption; O Lord, glory be to Thee.

Let the creation rejoice, let the heavens be glad, let them praise with their voices in joyful song: for Jesus Christ is our Saviour, who on the cross bore our sins: and death having slain life for us, raised up the fallen Adam, as a lover of mankind.

King of the heavens and earth, incomprehensible in thy will, wast spread upon the cross for man's love. The adversary met thee deeply, was grieved, and received righteous souls rejoicing: but Adam, seeing thy Saviour in the depths, arose. How wonderful! How death tasted all life; but as thou wouldest enlighten the world calling and saying: Arise, O dead one, and know that glory belongeth to thee.

Mystic Virgins, bearing myrrh with zeal and tears, hastened to the tomb of thine, and finding not thy body thereof, by the angel being informed of a new and glorious wonder, we have spoken to thee: Arise, O Lord, Thou hast given to the world great mercy.

Glory, and now:

And all the words of Isaiah were fulfilled, for thou hast brought forth two sons, and before the birth there was a doubling: for God being born, therefore didst thou cut off the power of death. But because of thy benevolence, bearing in thine holy hands, thou dost not despise our petitions, which we offer to thee in thy temple; but through thy merciful hands, thou hast shown compassion upon thy servants, and prayest for the salvation of our souls.
