By Thy holy Incarnation, O Lord, we have been set free from passions, and by Thy Resurrection, from the corruption of death; in Thee, O Glory of our souls, be glory to Thee.

Let the creation rejoice, let the heavens be glad, let them praise with their voices in joyful song: for Jesus Christ is our Saviour, who nailed our sins upon the Cross: and death having slain life for us, raised up the fallen Adam by His love.

King of all and earth unsearchable, by Thy will Thou wast crucified for love of man. The adversary met Him in the depths, was grieved, and received righteous souls rejoicing: but Adam, seeing Thy Sustainer in hell, arose. How wonderful! How death tastes all life; but since the world desired to be enlightened by One calling and saying: Arise, O dead one, glory be to Thee.

Mystagogyes, bearing myrrh with zeal and tears, hast reached the tomb of thine with longing, and finding not thy body, by the angel thou wast made aware of a new and glorious wonder, and we spake: Arise, O Lord, Thou givest to the world great mercy.

Glory, and now:

All this shall be fulfilled as Isaiah prophesied: for thou hast borne two, and before the birth gavest suck; but because of thy womb-births, O Thou Who art of a most pure womb, do not despise the prayers of Thy servants which are offered to Thee in Thy temple. But since with Thine own hands Thou bearest the fruit of Thy goodness, have mercy on Thy servants and save our souls.
