By Thy holy Incarnation, we have been set free from passions, and by Thy Resurrection, from the corruption of death; O Lord, glory be to Thee.

Let the creation rejoice, let the heavens be glad, let them praise with their voices in joyful song: for Jesus Christ is our Saviour, who nailed our sins upon the Cross: and death having slain life for us, raised up the fallen Adam by His love.

King of heaven and earth, incomprehensible in thy will, wast rent asunder for love of man. The adversary met thee with sorrow, but received the righteous souls rejoicing: Adam, seeing thy Saviour in the depths, arose. Behold a wonder! How death tasted all life; but since the world desired to be enlightened by him who calleth and saith: Arise, O dead one, and see the glory of thee.

Mystic Virgins, bearing myrrh, with zeal and weeping reached the tomb of thine own self, and finding not the body of thy own self, by the angel being made known a new and glorious wonder, with gladness we cried: Arise, O Lord, Thou hast given to the world great mercy.

Glory, and now:

All this shall be fulfilled as Isaiah prophesied: for thou hast borne two, and before the birth gavest suck: for God being born, therefore didst thou cut off all sorrows. But because of thy good-womb bearing with thine hands, thou deignest to have compassion on thy servants, and pray that our souls may be saved.
