Thy Resurrection, O Jesus Christ, hath enlightened all the world, and by Thy invocation Thou hast called unto Thee Thy creation: O all-powerful Glory of the Lord.

By the Tree of Life thou didst make void,
O Lord, the tree of cursing,
the power of death by thy death didst smite;
thou didst enlighten our race with thy rising.
Therefore we cry to thee:
O Giver of Life, Jesus Christ, glory be to thee.

At thy conception, O Virgin, the Lord was fastened, and changed thy purity of body: and without man's knowledge, warriors showed thee dead, with their spears piercing thy ribs; but the Jews sealed the tomb, knowing not thy power. But for thy womb's sake, O Virgin, received burial, and on the third day didst thou rise again, O Glory of the Father.

O Giver of Life, God, by Thy will enduring the death of men, descending into hell Thou didst show Thy power there, waiting for the coming of Thy Kingdom with a strong key, and Thou gavest the realm of paradise instead of hell as a gift to dwell in. Therefore, glorifying Thy three-day resurrection, cleanse our sins and grant us great mercy.

O wonder of wonders among all ancient wonders! Who can know the Mother born without a Man, bearing on Her hand, containing the whole creation? She is the Willingness, having been born. When the Counselor wrote it down with His hands carrying it, and the Mother's boldness giving it to Him, do not cease praying for those who invoke Thee, that they may receive and bring our souls to rest.
