Resurrection of Thy Christ, Thou Bright One of Heaven, Thou hast enlightened the whole earth and called Thy creation: All-Powerful, Thine is the glory.

Ever didst Thou, O Lord, by the tree of life celebrate; hanging on the tree of death, hast Thou redeemed us by Thy resurrection; Thou hast enlightened our race through Thy rising. For this reason we cry to Thee: Come Down, O Life-giving Christ, praise be to Thee.

On the cross of Christ we are glorified, and You have changed our evil deeds into good works: as a stranger to humanity you pierced my flesh with your spear, O Jews who write on the tomb for mercy. But because of Your mercy towards us, received in burial, and having risen on the third day, glory be to You.

Living-giving God, who willed to suffer for the redemption of mortals, descended into hell that those awaiting you might meet there, and strengthened him with his power against the strong one, granting you paradise together with hell as a dwelling place. Therefore, grant us your three-hundredth anathema, bestowing on sinners mercy, and give victory to your Lady.

O Thou wonder of all ancient wonders! Who can know the Maker without a husband, and bearing all that is created? For it is granted to be enlightened by Thee, who bore in Thy hand, and whose boldness doth exalt me to Thee, not cease to pray for those who seek Thee, that Thou mayest heal our souls.
