Thou, O Jesus Christ, hast risen from the dead, enlightening all the world and calling to Thee Thy creation: O all-powerful Glory of the Lord.

By the Tree of Life thou didst make alive, who from the tree of cursing, the power of death by thy death didst destroy; and by thy rising didst enlighten our race. Therefore we cry to thee: O Giver of Life, Thee do we glorify.

At thy conception, O Virgin, the Lord was fastened, and changed thy purity of body: and without man's knowledge, warriors showed thee to be slain, with spears piercing thy ribs; but the Jews sealed the tomb, knowing not thy power. But for thy womb, O Virgin, receiving burial, on the third day thou didst rise again, O Lord, glory to thee.

O Giver of Life, God, by Thy will enduring the death of men, and having descended into hell with mighty power, there to await the coming of Thine own, Thou didst open paradise instead of hell for them to dwell in life everlasting. Therefore, as we glorify Thee on Thy three-day resurrection, grant us cleansing from sins and great mercy.

O wonder of wonders among all ancient wonders! Who can know the Mother born without a Man, bearing upon Her hand, containing the whole creation? She is indeed the Willing One, born by birth. When the Handmaiden read the precept, with Her hands bearing and Her boldness towards Him granting, do not cease to pray for those who invoke Thee, that Thou mayest exalt and bring down our souls.
