Resurrection of Thy Theotokos, bright Light of the whole earth and Thou hast called Thy creation: omnipotent be Thy glory.
Ever didst Thou, O Lord, by the ancient trees celebrate Thy feast, having sealed with death's sepulcher Thy burial; and Thou hast enlightened our race through Thy resurrection. Therefore we cry to Thee: Come, O Lord, Creator of man, praise be to Thee.
On the cross of Christ we glorify thee, and thou hast changed thy good deeds into buildings: for the unhumanity thou didst show as warriors, piercing my flesh with thy spears, O Jews who write on the tomb a prayer, not knowing thy power. But for thy mercy towards our deaths, received in burial, and after three days thou didst raise me up to glory.
Life-giving Theotokos, who endured death for our sake by your own strength, went down to hell that you might meet there the ones awaiting you, and you weakened hell with your power, giving them life together with paradise. Therefore, grant us Your glorious three-hundred-and-fifth appearance, bestowing on sinners Your forgiveness, and granting You dominion.
O Thou wonder of all ancient wonders! Who can know the Maker without a husband, and bearing in hand what contains all creatures? This is the granting of mercy, which brings forth. Speak now, O mute little one, who by Thy hands bore it, and the boldness to Thee cry, do not cease praying for those who seek Thee, that Thou mayest heal our souls.
