Resurrection of thy Theotokos, bright One of heaven, thou hast enlightened the whole earth and called thy creation: omnipotent be thy glory.
Ever didst Thou, O Lord, by the tree of life celebrate; by hanging on the tree of death hast Thou redeemed us by Thy burial; and Thou hast enlightened our race by Thy rising. For this reason we cry unto Thee: "O Life-giving Christ of ours, praise be to Thee."
On the cross of Christ we glorify thee, and thou hast changed thy good deeds into buildings: for the unhuman one showed himself as a warrior piercing your breasts, while the Jews wrote on the tomb asking forgiveness, not knowing your power. But because of thy mercy towards thy children, received in burial, I today celebrate thy resurrection which brings glory to you.
Living-giving God, who endured death for our sake by your own will, descended to hell that the prisoners might be set free there, and weakened him who was strong in order to give freedom to the prisoner of sin. Therefore, we also commend you, venerable, at your three-hundred-and-thirteenth glorification, grant us your mercy, and bestow on them your compassion for sinners.
O Thou wonder of all ancient wonders! Who alone knew the God without a husband who bears all creatures; behold it is mercy that has brought forth. Tell me, O merciful One, who bore Thy hands and showed them to us, and Thy boldness toward Him who is worthy, do not cease praying for those who seek Thee, enlighten our souls with peace.
