Irimos:

By life alone we are saved,
Through life eternal is our hope;
For life is not in belly,
But by life eternal doth it stand.

Not suddenly do we perish,
Nor by delusion of the soul;
For compunction of heart doth move us,
And the stranger's authority we despise.

Not for spectacle is our glory,
Nor in creature doth our joy lie;
For deceit doth blind our eyes,
And the power of the world holdeth us fast.

But Thy mercy, O Lord, doth draw us near,
Thy righteousness and Thy glory evermore;
For Thou art King, and Thy Theotokos is with Thee,
And the Spirit doth guide us to the truth.

Therefore let us praise Thee, O Lord,
With heart and soul and strength;
For Thou art our salvation and our hope,
O Christ, Son of God, our only Redeemer.

Hast Thou come from the heavens, not by an angel, but Thyself hast been incarnate, and didst suffer all things for man. Therefore call thee: Glory to Thy power on high.

Thou standest before the judgment seat, O my Judge, not crying out Lord, for the judgment hath waxen sore: by Thy own Word didst Thou effect salvation for all the world.

By Thy holy Incarnation, O Enemy hast thou been made a spectacle, and by thy descent into Hell with Thy advent, cities have fallen and the pride of the tyrant hath been cast down.

O Theotokos,

Thou, O Theotokos, our steadfast refuge and immovable wall, Lady: by thy prayers thou deliverest our souls from every tribulation.

And He

Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the just shall live by faith: but the wicked shall die. But whosoever will be a disciple of Mine, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for My sake, the same shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.

O Lord, I have heard Thy glorious vision, and have glorified Thee, O Lover of mankind, Thy incomprehensible power.

Having seen upon the tree nailed thereunto Thy Mother, O ever immaculate, bearing Thee without any taint of sin, she endured manifold sorrows for sicknesses.

Death hath been overcome; the dead doth enslave the gates of hell: for having rent asunder all the powers, more than the nature of man received.

And Thee, O Lord.

Airmos toyeje.

All hath exalted the holy mountain into the house of the Lord, surpassing all strength, by the Most Holy Spirit most holily.

Having received the glory of God by birth among natural creatures alone, Thou hast been vouchsafed a divine and holy name, O Theotokos.
