Irimos:

By life alone we are saved,
Through life eternal Thou hast us drawn;
Not by belly, nor by sudden death,
But by the compunction of heart.

For always is the delusion great,
That strangers hold sway o'er our creation.
A spectacle of shame and guile,
Where mercy evermore doth elude.

Right hand of power, might of arm,
In Thee we trust, O Lord of all.
Thy glory shines upon this day,
O Soul and Spirit, in Thy call.

Hast Thou come from the heavens, not by an angel, but Thyself hast been incarnate, and didst suffer all things for man. Therefore call thee: Glory to Thy power on high.

Thou standest before the judgment seat, O my Judge, not crying out to Master: by Thy own word hast Thou wrought salvation for all the world.

By Thy holy Incarnation, O Enemy hast thou been made a spectacle, and by thy descent into Hell with Thy advent, cities have fallen, and the pride of tyrants hath been cast down.

O Theotokos,

Thou, O Theotokos, our steadfast refuge and immovable wall, Lady: by thy prayers thou deliverest our souls from every tribulation.

And He

Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee! Glory to Thy kingdom, glory to Thy power, glory to Thy wisdom, glory to Thy might, glory to Thy saving mercy, glory to Thy eternal life, glory to Thee in the heavens and on earth. Amen.

O Lord, I have heard Thy glorious vision, and have glorified Thee, O Lover of mankind, Thy incomprehensible power.

Having seen upon the tree Thee, O Mother of God, hanging thereon nailed two, though Thou, Oainless Born, didst suffer sicknesses.

Conquered hath death, and the grave doth enslave the gates of hell: for, having rent asunder all the teeth, more than by nature given to all.

And Œn.

Airmos toyejze.

All hath exalted the holy mountain of the Lord's house beyond strength, most devoutly by God.

Having received the glory of God by birth among natural creatures alone, Thou hast been vouchsafed a divine and venerable name, O Theotokos.
