Virmos:

By life alone we are saved,
And by death destroyed;
For Thou, O Lord, didst suffer death for our salvation.
Through Thy death, O Master, hast Thou delivered us from the jaws of death,
For Thou art He Who truly is Life;
Thou didst rise from the dead, O Christ God,
Showing to the world the way of life.

In the depths of the hidden, Pharaonic might, arrayed in all its warrior power, brought forth the word of all-ensnaring sin that was profaned, yet glorified, for it shall be glorified.

Heavenly Prince, to whom we have written, since thou hast not hearkened to thy commandments, by thy judgment thou shalt be condemned: for thou shalt be cut off as one dead; and thy power shall fall, and thou shalt be made weak.

Savior of the human race, and Prince of the imperishable life hath come into the world: by thy Resurrection thou hast rent asunder death's bonds, O Glorified; for gloriously hast thou been glorified.

The Theotokos:

Transcending all times, Thou hast been born virginal, O Theotokos, for Thy will was to incarnate in the morning of Thy womb. Therefore, with boldness we pray Thee, descend our souls unto repose.

The second canon of the Cross-Resurrection.

Virmos:

By life alone we are saved,
And by death destroyed;
For Thou, O Lord, hast so decreed:
That whosoever liveth and believeth in Thee
Shall not see death.

Therefore, with understanding of heart,
We cry to Thee, O Saviour:
Thou art the Life, and Thou art the Resurrection!
To Thee the glory, together with Thy Father
And Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages.

Not common, not usual, not deathless was the way walked by the chosen one in the sea, and he cried out to Jesus Christ: "O Lord, because Thou hast glorified Thyself."

Strength of the weak, resurrection of the fallen, and incorruptible of them that are fallen asleep, Thou wast made manifest, O Lord, by Thy flesh: That Thou mightest be glorified.

Alms give to the fallen image, and raise up the crucified, co-Worker of God, and renew the dead in all the living: For thou hast glorified.

And in the midst of the throne was standing the Theotokos.

Psalm and Irmos of this tone.

Not in vain did the ancient ladder stand, and the stranger, having frozen the way of death, by thy guidance led us to the reading thereof, wherein we all sing: For glory.

O Power on high, O perfect dwelling, O God's wisdom incarnate, from thee we speak to men that they may glorify.

Having passed through the unpassable door, encompassed by thy inner chambers, the sun of righteousness rising and shining: Thus shalt thou glorify.
