With your gracious eye, Lord, / you see my humility, / how little by little my life is spent, / and there is no salvation for me from works. / For this reason I pray: / with your gracious eye, Lord, / see my humility / and save me.
With your merciful eye, Lord, / look at my humility: / for little by little my life is shortening, / and there is no salvation for me from works. / Therefore I pray: / “With your merciful eye, Lord, / look at my humility / and save me!”

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. As I stand before the Judge, / worry, my soul, / and think about the terrible day, / for judgment is unmerciful to those who show no mercy. / Cry out to Christ God: / Knower of the heart, I have sinned, / without even condemning me, have mercy on me.
Glory: As if standing before the Judge, / take care, soul, / and think about the coming of the terrible day, / for judgment is without mercy for those who have not shown mercy. / Cry out to Christ God: / “Thou knower of the heart, I have sinned, / before my condemnation, have mercy on me!”

And now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen. Thy terrible and terrible, / and unwashed judgment, O Christ, / I consider the day and hour in my mind, / I tremble, like a villain, / where I have fierce deeds and deeds, / which I alone have committed diligently. / Moreover, I fall in fear to You, / painfully crying out: / Through the prayers of You who gave birth to You, O Most Merciful One, / save me.
And now: Your terrible and terrible / and incorruptible judgment, O Christ, / imagining in my mind the day and hour, / I tremble, like a villain, / who has collected shameful deeds and evil deeds: / I alone did them diligently. / Therefore, I cast myself down before You with fear, / crying out in contrition: / “Through the prayers of She who gave birth to You, / O most merciful, save me!”

Lord, have mercy (40) and prayer:
Lord, have mercy (40) and prayer:

Holy Lord, who liveth in the highest, and with Thy all-seeing eye look upon all creation. We bow down to You, soul and body, and we pray to You, Holy of Holies: stretch out Your invisible hand from Your holy dwelling, and bless us all: and if anything is done to You by sin, unwillingly, because God is Good and Lover of Mankind, forgive us and grant us Your peace and goodness. For it is Thine to have mercy and to save, our God, and to Thee we send glory, to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages, amen.
Holy Lord, who lives on the heights and sees all creation with Your all-seeing eye! We bowed before You, soul and body, and we pray to You, Holy of saints: stretch out Your invisible hand from Your holy dwelling, and bless us all, and if we have sinned before You, voluntarily or unwittingly, You, as a good and man-loving God, forgive, granting us Your earthly blessings. For You have mercy and save us, our God, and we send up glory to You, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and always, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Psalm 101

The prayer of a beggar is always despondent, and he will pour out his prayer before the Lord.
The prayer of the poor, when he becomes discouraged and pours out his prayer before the Lord, 101.

Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry come to You. Do not turn Your face away from me: even if I mourn a day, incline Your ear to me: even if I call on You day, quickly hear me. As if my days had vanished, like smoke, and my bones had dried up like dry land. I was wounded like grass, and my heart was gone, as if I had forgotten to bear my bread. Because of the voice of my groaning my bone cleaves to my flesh. I became like the tawny owl of the desert, like a night-time corvid diving. I walked and walked like a special bird here. All day long I have slandered you, and those who praise me swear by me. It became ashes like I ate bread, and I dissolved my drink with tears. From the presence of Thy anger and Thy wrath: as Thou hast exalted and cast down me. My days have turned away like the shade, and I have dried up like hay. But You, Lord, endure forever, and Your memory endures forever. You have risen to show mercy to Zion, for the time has come to show mercy to it. For Thy servants are well pleased to stone him, and they will destroy him with dust.

And the nations will fear the name of the Lord, and all the kingdoms of the earth will fear Your glory. For the Lord will build Zion and appear in His glory. Consider the prayer of the humble, and do not despise their prayers. May this be written for generations, and the people of the world will praise the Lord. As from His holy heights, the Lord looked down from heaven to earth, to hear the groaning of the chained, to release the sons of the slain, to proclaim in Zion the name of the Lord and the praise His in Jerusalem. Sometimes people will gather together, and the king, even the work of the Lord. Answer him on the way of his strength: make known to me the diminishing of my days. Do not bring me to the half of my days: in the generations of your generations. In the beginning, O Lord, You founded the earth, and Your hand made the heavens. They will perish, but You remain: and all, like a robe, they promise, and like their clothing, they will be changed. You are the same, and Your years will not fail. Your sons will dwell, and their seed will be corrected forever. Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry ascend to You!

Do not turn Your face away from me; on the day when I mourn, incline Your ear to me; on the day when I call on You, soon hear me! For my days are vanishing like smoke, and my bones are dry like brushwood. I was cut off like grass, my heart was withered, and I even forgot to eat my bread. Because of my incessant groaning, my bone has become dry to my flesh. I became like a desert bird, I was like an owl in the night on the ruins. I was awake and like a lonely bird on the roof. Every day my enemies reviled me, and those who had previously praised me swore to renounce me. I ate ashes with bread and drank water with tears, depressed by Your anger and Your wrath, for You lifted me up, but then cast me down. My days, like a shadow, have sunk, and I, like hay, have dried up. But You, Lord, remain forever, and You are remembered from generation to generation. You will arise and show mercy to Zion, for the time to show mercy, the time has come! For Your servants have loved the stones of Zion, and even its dust is dear to their heart. And the nations will fear the name of the Lord, and the kings of the earth will fear His glory; For the Lord will raise up Zion and appear in His glory.

He heard the prayer of the humble and did not reject their prayers. May this be announced to future generations, and may our descendants praise the Lord; For He bowed down from His holy height, the Lord looked down from Heaven to earth; He will hear the sighs of the captives, He will untie the bonds of the sons of slain fathers. And the name of the Lord will be proclaimed in Zion, and He will be glorified in Jerusalem, When nations and kings are gathered together to serve the Lord. I told God when I was at the fullness of my strength: “Tell me how many more days of my life are left. Don’t take my life halfway through my years!” Your years are countless! In the beginning, O Lord, You created the earth, and the work of Your hands is the heavens. They will perish, but You remain forever; like clothing, they will wear out, and like a robe, you will wear them, and they will be transformed; But You remain unchanged, and Your years will not run out. The sons of Your servants will dwell with the righteous, and their descendants will live forever in righteousness.
