Terrible day of Thy coming, O Jesus Christ, the Theotokos feareth and trembleth, and the unclean judge feareth God, fearing and trembling, as also my multitude of sins: but before the end, because Thou art merciful, turn unto me, and save me by mine much prayer.

Glory: When the Lord shall sit in judgment on His throne, and the courts of thy judgment stand forth: neither shall the king prevail over the soldier, nor the lord over his servant: every one according to his own deeds shall be glorified, or confounded.

And now: Receiving the great gifts read by two of God's servants, thou wast made worthy: For thou didst bear in thy body the Only-begotten Life-giver, for the salvation of our souls.

O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:

O Lord God, rich in mercy and incomprehensible in goodness, alone by nature without sin, and for our sake man though without sin, hear my prayer this hour, as I am poor and needy from good works.

My heart within me doth sorrow. For Thou art the King exalted on high, O Lord, in heaven and earth; as all my youth I have waited in sin: and after the lusts of my flesh I walked, ever a laughingstock to the demon, ever following the devil's will, in the time of sweet delights flowing. My heart doth sorrow.

But from my youth even until now, I have never desired to do Thy will willingly: but being enslaved by the passions of deceitful spirits, I was overcome by laughter and profanation, in no wise while thinking with my heart, for the unendurable wrath which Thou hast pronounced against sinners was intolerable.

And lying in the fiery gehenna. Even as I always fell into temptation, and ever being turned by sense, I became empty and naked from thy mercy. For I have seen no sin; what work of the demon have I wrought; what deed of study and wantonness with advantage?

And with fervent longing I have accomplished it; by my carnal remembrances I defiled them, by my body with pollutions I polluted, and by my spirit with the mixture of the defiled: every part of my defiled flesh serves and works for sin. And who else will lament me, my defiled one? Who else will weep for me?

O Sufferer; for I am one, Master, Thou hast grieved my strength: for I am one in Thee I have kindled Thy wrath: for I am one I have wrought wickedness before Thee, surpassing and overcoming from the beginning sinners, unspeakably sinful, and unforgivable. But since I am much given to boastfulness,

Blessed be Thou, Lover of mankind, and Thou waitest for the turning of man: all and I cast myself down before Thy fearful and unendurable judgment; as with Thy holy feet Thou hast touched, from the depths of my soul I cry to Thee: cleanse me, O Forgiver.

Mercy me in my weakness, incline to my ununderstanding, accept my prayer and my tears, do not hold them back. Receive me who am confessing, and turn away him who is astray: turning away from his wandering, and praying forgive. For Thou hast not laid down repentance for the righteous, nor hast Thou

Penance for the unrepentant is easier: but Thou hast appointed repentance for me, a sinner, in which I have partaken with Thy anger. Naked and exposed before Thee, O Searcher of hearts, confessing my sins: for I cannot lift up mine eyes nor behold Thy heavenly heights, burdened as I am by the weight of sins.

Thy ears hear me. Enlighten the eyes of my heart, and grant me compunction and tenderness of heart for repentance and humbling of heart to amendment: that with good hope and true faith I may go to that other world, praising and blessing Thy whole creation, O Father and Mother, and Thee.

And now, and ever, and in the ages of ages, amen.
