Yirmós: God / by man it is not possible to behold, / upon whom the angels of the hierarchy do not dare to gaze: / through Thee, O All-compassionate, / hanging upon man, / the Word made flesh, / we magnify Thee with heavenly hymns.

Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy resurrection glorified Thee.

Unspotted by passions thou didst abide in the Word of God,
clothing thy flesh with strength:
but thou hast resolved from the passions of man,
becoming passion for our salvation:
for thou alone art without passion, and all-powerful.

Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy resurrection glorified Thee.

Thou didst receive the mortal, and by corruption preserved thy body unsavorily,
But thy life-giving and divine Spirit, O Lord, was not left in hell:
Yet as thou arose from sleep, Thou didst raise us up, O Lord.

Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy merciful compassion and resurrection.

Trisagion: Thee, O God, beyond comprehension,
All ye creatures with pure lips glorify,
Unto Thee, the unutterable and most glorious,
With all Thy might we worship:
For Thou alone art of ineffable might, inseparable.

Andronicus. Chant: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy merciful and life-giving Incarnation.

If thou didst descend into the grave, O Life-giving One, / but didst shatter the strongholds of hell, O Jesus Christ, / raising up the dead, and even death itself didst swallow up, / and didst bestow resurrection upon all, O God, / by faith and love glorifying Thee.

Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, in Thy mercy and resurrection.

Let the creation rejoice and blossom as a garden:
for Jesus Christ hath raised up from the dead.
Where thou art now, O death, our sorrow; we cry out.
Where thou wast, O hell, victory;
thou hast been cast down into the earth,
exalting our horn, for thou art good within us.

Pripev: Preshta Theotokos, spasynas.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.

But bearing him that bears all, and holding fast as a little child in thy hands, and from thy hand delivering us from the foe that fought against us, trampling down the Lady, thou didst see upon thy breast trees exalted,

from the pit of snares lifting up our feet.

O Lord. Hymn: Having lifted up the Theotokos, save us.

Star shining with the rays of divinity from Saint James,
enveloped in darkness:
By thee, O All-compassionate Jesus Christ, all creation is illumined;
Through thee, we beseech thee, with heavenly mercies to glorify thee.

Pripev: Presvytori Theotokos, spasini nas.

With strength and by Thy grace, I strengthen myself, /
O my soul, with a heartfelt song I lay it upon Thee: /
But receive this, Thou who readest both,
Granting Thy great light in return for Thy ineffable grace, /
From the unfading treasures of God.

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.

Having stood in the presence of God,
in whom is the word of the body made flesh,
God hath opened mine eyes:
in which are encompassed all salvation,
from the clear sense of them that glorify thee.

And now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Resurrection of the Dead is given to us now, O Theotokos, by Thy unspeakable and unutterable cry, O All-holy: / For life, Thou didst clothe Thyself in flesh, O All-compassionate, for all: / And Thou hast broken the power of death.

Vsekh zemnorodnyi / da vygraietsya domъ proushchaimъ, / da tozhdestvuyetъ ye blazhennye umovъ estoi, / pochitayeshche shteineshennoe tozhdestvo bogortre, / i da voipyetъ: / raduyssya vseloblazhennaya / btsi, chitaeyushcha prinsnoddvo.

O Lord, have mercy. [Three times.]

By the prayers of our holy Mother, Jesus Christ, O Lord, have mercy on us, amen.
