The grave laid us low by the power of death, yet no word can hold it back:
For God hath risen, saving our race.

O Unsetting Light, Thee the Virgin bore,
In being, shining in darkness,
With a body that radiates light for all,
And singing Thee, Thou hast filled with ever-present joy.

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.

Blessing flourisheth, law is abolished: by thee all things are made new;
for thou, reading, didst give birth to the Lord,
giving us the ever-present, forsaken not.

Ме́ртва мѧ̀ показа̀ сада̀ вкꙋше́нїе, / жи́зни же дре́во и҆з̾ тебѐ ꙗ҆́вльшеесѧ пречⷭ҇таѧ, воскр҃сѝ, / и҆ ра́йскїѧ сла́дости наслѣ́дника мѧ̀ ѹ҆стро́и.
Dead hath shown the garden entrance, /
life's tree thou didst exceed in glory, rise,
and thy heir the heavenly delights hast fashioned.

Sitting in glory,
on the throne of divinity,
in the veil of light,
Jesus the Eternal comes,
with unhasting hand,
and calls to thee:
Glory to thy power.
