Yirmos: By Thy Light / O Lord, / Thou hast enlightened the souls of those who love Thee in the morning with Thy love, / I pray Thee, / to reveal unto me the words of Thy Light, / the true Word of God, / calling out from the darkness of sin.

Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy resurrection glorify us.

Hasten thou to me with cherubim now, and, O Master, let the flaming weapon splash upon me,
Whom the word of the true God hath seen, the robber's way fashioning for paradise.

Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy resurrection glorify us.

For thou hast not sorrowed for Him who was laid in the earth: / but Thou didst raise me from the earth, O Lover of Souls, / for Thy many mercies, / by Thy deathless Resurrection to the heights.

Pripev: Preshta Theotokos, spasi nas.

Theotokos: O Lady of the Soul, Master of the world's bliss,
unto those confessing salvation:/ For thou art an unshakable intercessor for them, / true Mother of God.

Andronicus. Chant: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy merciful and life-giving Incarnation.

I did eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and was deceived by the worm that crept forth, the progenitor thereof, / obeying the Lord's holy precepts: / but with thy gracious command thou again exaltedst me to the first goodness, / having hearkened to the Father who saved thee.

Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, in Thy mercy and resurrection.

By Thy death, O Lord, death is vanquished;
And by Thy resurrection, the source of life hath flowed to us,
And immortality hath been granted:
For this we bow before Thy burial and resurrection in faith,
O Thou Who didst enlighten the world by Thy glory.

Refrain: Having lifted up Thy holy hands, save us.

Glory to God in heaven and on earth:
Life on high and Creator of all,
In Thy pure and unspotted womb, Thou didst dwell ineffably,
Praising Thee, O surpassingly holy and most glorious One,
And taking Thy most exalted and heavenly rank:
Therefore we now glorify Thee on earth.

Andronicus. Hymn: Having lifted up the Theotokos, save us.

By purity thou hast glorifiedst the divine light / and by thy ever-vigilant dwelling, O All-Pure Lady, thou wast established. / For thou alone didst manifest thy purity, / bearing this young Child in thine obedient arms.

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.

Wearing the fair and beautiful grace of Thy holy soul,
Thou wast the bride of God, sealed with the seal of purity,
And enlightening the world with the light of holiness.

And now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Let the assembly of those full of joy weep,/
not proclaiming the pure doctrine of the Theotokos:/
for thou didst open the gates of the light to us,/
driving away the darkness more grievous than night.
